Druid races

No, me fighting against the asinine idea of blood elf druids is simply holding on to the last vestiges of sanity in this game.

You people would absolutely wreck the entire game to get your way, whether or not it makes any sense at all.

Less is more. Restrictions create environment and immersion. There is absolutely no reason to want every class for every race other than to satiate the “gimme gimme gimme, mine mine mine!” mentality of this undisciplined generation.

When something is broke, you dont go breaking it more, you fix it. You’re not going to do that broken tea cup any good by bashing it with a rock.

So we are just going to ignore the practice of arcane magic by the Kaldorei. How do you propose you fix your arcane problem then? Delete the elven mages from the game? Yeah that’s not going to fly for a lot of people.

Lore changes as a story progresses. Standing against the tide only gets you buried in the sand. You may not agree with story choices they make, and i’m sorry it offends you and your sanity that someone would dare to want to be a nature practicing sindorei.

Characters are independent of the story anyway, we are supposed to be unique. At least in the narrative that blizzard has been pushing lately. So allowing human druids, dwarven druids, blood elf druids, and orc druids doesn’t sound weird to me. They could easily write it into the story, especially when we have a zone upcoming in Shadowlands completely based in druidic magic.

mechagnome druid forms woulda been nuuts.

and we need blood elf druids and for the blood elves and forest trolls to get along so we can have meaty trolls join the Horde to smash trollbane and stromgarde for good.

You also have moose. I think the Horde need a squirrel race, so they can have moose and squirrel.

Bolts. Bolts and nuts. That’s what they would’ve been.

Nobody’s being honest with themselves if they think blood elf druids are a good idea. There’s absolutely no backing for it in the lore, they abandoned that way of life when they became high elves and now they’ve gone even deeper down the rabbit hole with the magic addiction.

Druidism, like Shamanism, isnt for everyone. It requires a certain kind of mindset, a connection to nature, a realization that you are equal to it and not above it. This is why it doesnt work for humans and why it wouldn’t work for blood elves (or, honestly, any elves other than the night elves) - because they’re all too arrogant and consider the natural world beneath them, something to be controlled and dominated rather than cooperated with.

nice gnome druid joke. and blood elf druids would not be anything like night elf druids. WoW has demonstrated that druidism can take many forms. The blood elves are allied with the Zandalari and Darkspear already. I really think that the Blood Elves connecting with the wild gods and regaining their nature affinity would be the way to cleanse Ghostlands of the plague. You can’t deny there is potential for druidism by all of the races in Hinterlands through Ghostlands. Whether that be the Wildhammers, Amanis, High Elves, or even the Blood Elves. It would require immense building of lore for the Amanis and Sindorei to ever be cordial. Perhaps a treaty, with Talanji / Zekhan as a catalyst, that promises the Revantusks their holy lands in Zul Aman back.

I’d rather have forest troll druids anyways. But I thought it would be a cool angle for the Belves. You are right though that elves struggle with pride. But I think the sindorei are humbled, while the NIGHT ELVES, are the most prideful off all.

“Druidism can take many forms”.

It takes two forms: Real druids and fake druids.

Real druids: Night elves, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Worgen (in training).

Fake druids: Everyone else.

Worshipping loa does not make you a druid. Blizzard just got lazy and decided to use the druid framework.

actually according to official blizzard lore, worshipping Loa can and does make you a druid. Officially. Hence why trolls can be druids. Druidism has evolved to take many forms. You are a Vulpera shaman. Blizzard made that a thing. You can’t say the only real shamans are orc and tauren shamans when many other races are clearly able to practice alternate forms of shamanism. They are alt druids sure, but druids. Druids are just shapeshifters who connect with wild gods.

How are vulpera’s connected to nature ?

The same way any tribal/nomadic people are: they rely on the land, they dont abuse it, they understand that it is their lifeblood and they have to care for it in order for it to sustain them.

That, and the copious amounts of looted totems involved in our world quests.

So your argument for vulpera being real shamans is that Blizzard took time to establish them as shamans? Then why are trolls not real druids? Your logic makes absolutely zero sense. As a vulpera shaman your bias and cognitive dissonance is showing.

Okay so that means we can have vulpera druids according to you right?

Lmao, I like the gacked-out regular troll flight form. Don’t ask why. I just do

Again, why are you making multiple threads about literally the same topic  on your alts

No, it doesnt. It means we can have vulpera shamans, which we do.

Vulpera druids still dont work.

  1. They have no connection, racially or culturally, to the emerald dream (this is also why troll druids arent, IMO, ‘real’ druids. Both night elves and tauren have historical cultural connections to the dream, while trolls do not).
  2. They live in a wasteland. Druidic magics rely pretty heavily on vegetation and an abundance of natural life. Life in vol’dun is sparse at best.
  3. Even if we were to try and go the route of the ‘fake’ troll shamans: there arent enough loa left in vol’dun to make it work. Akunda runs a brainwashing cult, Sethraliss is dead (or was, depends on timeline), kimbul is dead, there’s no loa to base vulpera shapeshifting forms on.

Again, “I want” is not a valid reason for something to happen.

But vulpera shamans do have a connection to nature ???

Vulpera as a race have a connection to nature. Nature being the environment, that environment may not be conducive to druidism but it works just fine for shamanism.

Um…
Covenant allied races and druids for the horde are different topics

Maybe that was one of the multiple alts I linked there is a 3rd one as well with a thread up. But your alliance bias thread and this one are LITERALLY practically the same thread.
