I personally do not care if everyone gets the mage tower skins. I played during legion and earned them, I was the first on my server with the feral mage tower completing it day one. Took about an hour of attempts to do. Just unlock them and let people have them, they are just druid form skins.
I cant beleieve im just now finding this out and gave up on my druid
now i may never get the ghost forms.
Taketh guild bank items, giveth Druid forms…something’s going to disappear soon.
You never will dont worry
Well see… then prove you wrong
Wait a day for hotfix even thouse who got it will lose it including me.
CRAZY that they’re still available after maintenance right now?!
Still available after maintenance. Unreal what billions of dollars at a monopolistic corporation can accomplish.
Let us keep ‘em, some of us focused on college during Legion then faithfully returned afterwards to see people running around with the most beautiful cats to ever grace the game.
And then to constantly hear that they were easy to obtain at the end of Legion, but no, we’re not letting people have ‘em because they took skill to get…
Well, so did my Amani and CM phoenixes but they’ve been releasing recolors of them to obtain upon logging in, haven’t they? AS THEY SHOULD, I’m GLAD for it, because fomo stuff is freaking stupid. They should also release at least recolors of my CM gear. Let people enjoy pretty things! I’ve had it exclusively for long enough.
Please let me keep my pretty kitties. I main feral. They’re gorgeous. I would’ve earned them in a heartbeat if given the opportunity.
And for the love of god, please release all the other exclusive things too, in recolors if you must. Stop the fomo lifestyle, it alienates more of your playerbase than it pleases.
Blizzard better remove them asap. This should in no way remain in the game for people who didn’t earn them.
At least in Blizzards eyes those people were present, participating, and paying a sub back then.
This is akin to asking for Kosovo campaign ribbons when you join the Army in present day. Sure it was a cakewalk, but those dudes were there.
Ooh? Wonder if they borked somethin’ up again, maybe I’ll suddenly see sparklekitty available… ![]()
As for the folks whinging over ‘b-but muh prestige’… None of this would even be an issue if Blizz weren’t digging their heels in with their “no MT skins”–in Legion Remix, of all things.
Yet for some reason let the Violet Spellwing become available… Make it make sense. ![]()
The smartest thing Blizz could’ve done is just release recolors of every Artifact weapon(/skin) for all classes; Then the prestige-havers can still have the old stuff AND end up with new colors too.
But that would be too sensible, I suppose. ![]()
I was also in college and I got the skins, took classes I never played, and I worked hard and made designs.
So why should they give away something that was achieved with skill and dedication? The reward was there.
If every whiner asked for things to be kept and given away, then why are there “feats of valor,” “elite or glad sets,” and unique things if they’re just going to give them away for whining?
I got the achievement “The Chosen One,” which is an excellent achievement in a realm where there were almost no people. It was one of the few with the legendary plate design, and now they’re giving it away and it’s fine, as are the Satyr shoulder pads, etc. No problem, but the achievement and title or the skins that took work should be EXCLUSIVE.
You had the opportunity and you didn’t get it. You beg for a chance but you criticize and attack those who don’t agree…funny. You can love the Skins when you see them pass by.
I unlocked the Ghost of the Pride Mother on November 20th, 2017, just eight days before the Antorus patch (November 28th), when players could begin out gearing the Mage Tower and trivializing the challenge.
I still remember exactly how I felt trying to earn those forms. At the time, I was recovering from surgery on my arm after a car accident. I spent months in physiotherapy, and to this day, my arm never fully healed, I have permanent damage. I had to play with one hand, using only my mouse to move and cast spells.
It took me thousands of attempts before I finally succeeded. Leading up to that moment, I was convinced I’d never get the forms. I even questioned whether I’d be able to keep doing the things I loved, like playing World of Warcraft.
But I did it. And because of that, these forms are incredibly meaningful to me. It doesn’t bother me to see other players with them now, because I know what mine represent - the effort, the pain, and the personal challenge I overcame.
However, if I hadn’t gotten them, I wouldn’t be here trying to guilt Blizzard or anyone else into giving them back. I wouldn’t play the pity card like some of you do. Too many players act like victims or claim Blizzard cheated them… get over yourselves.
The fact that so many of you insult those of us who earned the forms during Legion, calling us names or mocking us, is incredibly childish. It just shows your immaturity.
If Blizzard chooses to bring the forms back through the Mage Tower - fine. At least then players will have to earn them. But gloating over a bug that gave them away for free? That’s disgraceful.
I sincerely hope Blizzard doesn’t cave to these kinds of demands.
I feel there isn’t enough credit given to the argument that just restoring the challenge along with the rewards is a good solution. Those that want such appearances have to earn them, and those that have them (such as myself) don’t feel as though we’ve lost any “prestige” for having done it.
As another user posted before, I honestly feel more worried about seeming pretentious for using them rather than prestigious, especially as I do content with many friends that weren’t even playing (or even able to play the game) during that time.
I also have the spellbook mount from completing all seven of the unique challenges, and I get compliments about it from time to time — which I love! And when someone asks me how to get it, let me tell you, it feels a lot better to tell them that it’s best they look up a guide rather than telling them “you weren’t there, champ, suck it up”.
Personally, I feel someone that enjoys the latter isn’t a demographic worth catering to.
While we are at it giving away crap…Blizz can you unlock all the Elite PVP sets and Mounts too that I missed out on?..
No…These things should be as they were stated in the beginning…limited and exclusive…otherwise bring everything back. Blizz should fix this asap, Fire the Legion Remix Team.
Lol imagine if this was giving everyone all Legion elite sets in their mog collections or Glad mounts.
You could extend a similar argument about extending the challenge. It’s not too different than if Vicious Saddles were limited to their respective season’s mounts. Reaching Elite status has always been a prestigious thing, and I doubt them giving a token that allows you to choose which Elite set you got rather than assigning you one would change that much. It still says you still hit that rating — no enforcing a system of false scarcity required.
Yeah man, I’d like the black harvest title if this is how we’re rolling
Yeah Im saying imagine if everyone in Retail logged in and Lemix accidentally gave them all those Glad mounts.
I doubt as many people would be going “just let us keep them!”
I agree they could do a token system for hitting rating for past sets. That’d be cool but a different discussion altogether.
