I came back to the game in DF after leaving in wod. Started in wrath. I was very excited for sod for too many reasons. All this experience has done is it has completely shown me all of blizzards flaws that people have been tuned into for decades. I knew about a bunch of it, but to actually experience it to this level feels like a true slap to the face. I will never look up to a company ever again, and expect them to act like they’re passionate about things. Cooperations truly have sucked the soul out of me and blizzard is the one that ripped that bandaid off. Thank you, I guess I blizz. But I really smoked the copium that they supplied me through my screen while watching blizzcon. I cannot stand fake smiles, passive aggressive tweets from some out of touch dude that’s a dev who gaslights the player base, and I can’t stand being shown an illusion that the company cares about the experience I want. I’m playing cata and mopmix, the entire time I do all I can think of is “this is what they want me to do, I’m having fun but I don’t feel like it’s my choice, I feel like I’m being used as a human battery in the matrix” so honestly. Imma play wow for a couple more years cause I want to get my fill on lore. (Wild I know) but after that I will never talk about this company or their games ever again.
Yea cross guild collaboration is common and always works out.
And other hilarious jokes.
There’s no way they bump content up above 20. From 10 to 20 already had negative affect on quite a few guilds
Sod is and was always going to take a back seat to progressive classic servers and retail launches: it’s crazy you all just realized that.
Almost been 3 weeks of no SoD for me.
Finding it hard to want to login to cata or MoP last week tbh.
Resubbed back in Dec and I can assure you I didn’t get my $60+ worth running p2 Gnomer. I’ll tell you that much
Hopefully since it’s now June they announce some small content perhaps new quests events or a dungeon until phase 4 does hit. I’m sticking with my gut instinct that Phase 4 will be late June early July.
I mean we already can expect some good raids, we did see hints that they are doing something with cot.
we can’t really expect anything. the power scaling of everything in SoD is much higher than the content. having gear thats 3x+ better than what we have in p3 we can expect some monstrous power creep and a lot of solutions to combat that will suck if implemented wrong. nerf our runes and characters? nerf the ilvl of gear(i’d actually like this), buff content? now what about PvP? its a crapshoot but i’ll play try it anyway.
we can’t really expect it to retain players unless its really good. or really bad, like P1 and hunters which everyone seemed to love.
What are you on? We can expect mc, ubrs, zg, bwl, both aq, ony, cot, and naxx. Not sure they will nerf gear but more likely they will buff the raids then nerf then down to the gear players expect to have.
in phase 4? we can expect 20 man MC and thats all we can expect.
what i HOPE they do, but am almost certain they won’t is make all raid gear sidegrades. Set an ILVL and its shared through all raids but stats layouts, set bonuses and procs are all unique. ESO style, but its a pipe dream.
Just wainting for the next phase.
There’s so many other games to play right now while we wait.
I’m more than okay with that.
I’ll say it again
You don’t need to play any version of WoW 24/7
(let’s not kid ourselves, lvl 60 is when everyone comes back, even the people who stopped after p1 or 2.)
If ST only takes 30 minutes and is a cakewalk why would people completely abandon a version of wow that they are playing if they supposedly enjoy it?
The drop off doesn’t really have anything to do with cata imo. I just think this phase is incredibly boring and terrible and the numbers would have dropped regardless of cata.
have social skills truly declined that much?
perhaps that’s why we can never have Fresh again.
0% chance we hit P2 population numbers when P4 releases.
Guilds are now threatening to gkick people for not showing up to their ST raids.
show dominance and leave
What’s the chance we hit peak p3 numbers when p4 comes out though
Maybe if a new raid was made, Ony and MC ain’t it.
Boring.
Wait…are you saying SoD lost 90% of it’s playerbase???
Because if you are, that is blatantly false. At the current ~74k, this would mean SoD only has 10% of the original population…which would have been 740k. We all know SoD didn’t have nearly a three-quarters of a million playing.
Its peak was over 620k.
I don’t need to give exact mathematical breakdowns, the Information can be seen by anyone.
74k now, wait till next week
