Are you… are you ganna quit too?
I read all the way through, and then followed the satyrical link to the Panda one as well. It almost feels universal as though you could replace Pandaren or Dracthyr with any past or future WoW race and there will still be one person who rage quits over something this silly. Great post 10/10 would re-read.
it’s all a new part of the CBA run and gun instant gratification society that gave up on reading quest text years ago and replaced it with an addon to auto accept, arrow points, auto turn in. No one really sits and reads to the end anymore lol
I very much enjoyed the satirical nature of this post.
Yes, this game is very childish. Even infantile. What I find interesting is that the developers are absolutely fascinated by bowel movements. You’d think it was the most interesting thing in existence to them. We have quests that involve instigating animals to poop so we root around in their feces. There’s a quest in Redridge that involves collecting fox poop. There’s one in Northrend where we eat a handful of seeds, and then go through a quest to poop them out again. If there’s an abomination type creature, chances are that it has AoE involving flatulence.
I mean, most people move past this fixation at age three. But the Devs have held on to theirs.
I’m sure Freud would offer an explanation for the Devs’ collective fixation with poop, but for the life of me, I sure can’t.
Wow you think a lot about poop and farts.
I can’t decide if the pic in there reminds me more of Season of Ice’s opening cutscene, or Enter the Dragonfly’s opening cutscene, given their on a beach with some food.
Well, if I were ever a game dev, I can promise you that I wouldn’t make entire quests around them. In fact, they wouldn’t be mentioned at all.
games are childish guy. its why we play them. to escape reality for a while
dragons but no dragon men.
oooooo kay
in your opinion…and mine…which are both quite irrelevant in a big picture kind of way.
orcs arent? lol
Woah you’re blowing my mind.
Would read again.
I thought I recognized the post. It pretty much sums up the sentiment from MoP early on before MoP kind of became knowns as the expansion that catered to the top players or no lifers and still largely where much of that modern day sentiment comes from
I kind of get why you drudged this up but I’ve pretty much not seen this sentiment at all except for about the trailers for the xpac. Which tbf, is where the sentiment came from in MoP
This is another “gotcha” thread by this person.
Read the bottom and your response will all fall into place.
looks at huge wall of text, then looks at War and Peace
turns away from wall of text and sits down to read War and Peace under a tree
I am Brute.
Oh honey… tsk tsk
Eat some ice cream you are already a cow.
Panda and Dragon chads united
Furry chads! \o/
The Dracthyr do objectively look bad though. Both dragon and the bejazzled visage forms.
I get a weird deviant art from the early 00s vibe from it.
Yes, you can make the “What about da pandas?” argument, but their execution does not assault the eyes.
This is a good example of why if you don’t want to read the full post - you at lest read the final couple sentences.
I see what you did there.
