And yeah, I totally remember when Mists was announced how people LOST. THEIR. MINDS.
The endless toddler tantrums over how they felt their intelligence was being insulted about it suddenly being for kids… all because they couldn’t get past an expansion set around playable “pandas.”
Remember, “I don’t want Pokémon in my Warcraft!”?
When in reality, they were the same people who’d never be able to grasp the depth and darkness and so many layers of the best storyline of any expansion to date.

It’s not surprising how many people didn’t read the whole thing. I think it makes an interesting point about the state of the game now vs. then. But, doesn’t seem like people have the attention span to even get to that, lol.

Unless of course you don’t understand blatant satire, have zero sense of humor, and weren’t around when Mists was announced and people wrote that kind of nonsense for real.
The Reddit link was the original post making fun of the easily triggered whiners who don’t bother to actually understand something before forming an educated, informed opinion. (Just like you just did.) Which caused a lot of players to miss out on the best, darkest, and multi-layered mature storyline in the game. But then they’d likely never understand it anyway.
This forum was drowning in, “Kung-Fu Panda” tears far worse than the weird ridiculous aversion some have towards Dracthyr.

Legend of Spyro trilogy actually might be the game(s) you’re looking for. 
Something written 11 years ago with a truckload of satire included; copied over here…for satire…and it being flagged.
