Dragonwrath Acquisition Rate Adjustments

Seems reasonable 25 mans got preferential treatment last phase now 10 mans are getting a minor bump up only for the epic.

It’s not like 25 mans won’t still have their massive loot advantage on everything else.

kind of yeah but its only a buff to very caster heavy 10 mans in the end, they would have been better giving them the extra loot like the 2.5 loot per thread suggests instead of such an extreme amount of staffs, at the current rate, if the tier lasts 20 weeks, they’ll be on like staff 8 or something silly

it doesn’t really fix the problems with 10 man loot

Yeah that’s why I’m wondering why 25 man players are freaking out.

because 25 man casters are incentivized to be 10 man casters, people leaving your guild to join other guilds isn’t a very good thing

I mean if they’re going to leave over slightly better odds at one item in one slot, and worse odds at the second BIS in that slot and every other slot, good riddance.

its a bit more than slightly better odds though, is it not?

lets say there are averagely 3 casters per 10 man and 7.5 per 25 man

if you are the 3rd caster, you will have your staff by week 12, its impossible not to, even at the lowest odds.

If you are staff number 7, even at the best possible odds, yours won’t even be started by week 12

Right so depending on how your guild has prioritized you you might not get a staff this phase, oh well.

That doesn’t change anything else I said, that 25 man player will have better odds at their second BIS and everything other slot.

oh whatever, the 25m is easier to complete and still gets more loot. Your GDKP 25m will still be around

Hey! Don’t cry over a videogame! I just got a new fluffy pajama and I don’t want any of your tears and/or mucus on it.

Anyway… Nobody is forcing you or anyone to do 10 man raids. It’s not my fault that sweatlords such as you love to optimize the fun out of the game.

damn the cope is wild

We are already talking about it and I am not happy.

Nice insults, not very appropriate for discussion.

incentivizing 10 mans means people leave 25 mans to get their legendary, this kills 25 man raids in the interest of what? making sure every caster gets their pretty staff?

25m should get up to 2.5 more always in term of ratio, I don’t know what’s the maths behind this but they don’t seem right. At this point simply make it a personal quest and make it so everyone can get it at the same time if the goal is for everyone to get one and this way there’s no difference with 10m or 25m and we won’t have people trying to sell staffs for absurd prices.

100% agreed, punishing players who run 25man which requires more organization and effort from the leadership/officers to recruit and maintain a healthy roster, especially if you run alts just seems weird.

it should for sure be 2.5:1 ratio, this change is weird because per player 10man players were already getting more staves beforehand, this just further increased that gap

Why am I not surprised Blizzard can’t do elementary school mathematics?

It should be higher than 2.5 ratio.
It’s 6 DPS in 10 man
vs
18 DPS in 25 man

It’s closer to a ratio of 3 because of both size of raid using 2 tanks.

Tanks obviously don’t need the staff.

Is Joyous Journey coming back soon?

Don’t know more than what other players do, my guess is they’re using it at the end of patches so people come back which they’ve done I think multiple times like this. Probably can expect it again at the end of firelands.

The reason 25M isnt just 3x faster is probably they don’t want the first staff appearing in 3 weeks

And this is a bit weird because they didnt had any issue with having smournes every 2-3 weeks.

This sudden change of decisions on this raid is a bit strange to me anyway.
