Dragonflight will kill Wrath’s population

Remove the furries, the obnoxious mounts, and take certain class/race combos that dont belong (priest tauren), and ill come back.

It will never happen.

what is that

I can’t do private servers because I’m on a Macbook that doesn’t support the old clients, whereas Wrath Classic works with it.

I am not a fan of retail but will give an honest chance to Dragonflight.

I’m happy with Wrath Classic and happy to voice my opinions to make it reach its full potential.

Lmao you can stay.

Classic has some of the most disgusted store mounts and everyone is just a copy paste of the same character combo in the same gear.

Cool, I do hope you enjoy it!

Blizzard moved away from guilds mattering. Small close nit guilds are what made WoW the best.

I’m sorry mate but the vast majority of people who played classic, especially those who played vanilla and TBC have 0 desire to play dragonflight any more then maybe a month.

I will play dragonflight. I will stop playing dragonflight when ulduar drops, and probably not look back until the next expansion.

People have said “oh wait this expansion actually looks really good!” Every. Single. Time.

I remember players loving Torghast when Shadowlands first came out.

I’m not dropping a cent on a retail expansion until it’s been out for 6 months at least, if ever. It’s not worth playtesting.

Ok sorry, you got me on that, I’ll agree with you that a low percentage of people visit the forums.

A lot of the forum population is just people who aren’t happy so they complain. Right now it’s about queues and RDF. If people are neutral or happy about whatever they won’t come here. Unless they make some weird hobby out of it as I have.

What?!? This seems impossible.

Yeah. We’re two expansions deep down the rabbit hole of worthless anti-consumer junk. The chance of dragonflight being even remotely good is slim to none.

I’ll still play it because I always do, but I know I’ll quit after a month.

Is this some kind of troll post?
DF doesn’t look good at all. The dragons…look hilariously bad.
Removing professions from arena in wrath is very lame I agree.
People will be playing consistently in wrath, more so than tbc.

It would have to be MIND BLOWING for me to go back.

I just logged into retail yesterday to check out my chars again. I really can’t get over the stat squish on items and how my chars have bank vaults full of stuff that used to be awesome and looks like something a classic lvl 10 char would have used. That just never sit well with me and was a major reason for me leaving.

The thing about playing WoTLK is it was a simpler time and your char had some depth. That’s what brought me back to wow to play.

Retail there’s just so much with all the xpacs that one has to take in and the class depth is absolute rubbish.

I get wow loves to invalidate all your progress each xpac, but they are so bad as to do it each major patch too.

I think the good news about that is if I do see retail is awesome, I can boost to 60 and be ready to go with the new content…don’t need to worry about the gear being garbage as greens in the new zone will be good.

However, the level and item squish are still things I mentally struggle with a huge barrier. They should have just capped everyone at 100 and gone with paragon levels or somethign similar…thinking of myself going to lvl 70 in retail when I’ll be 80 in WoTLK…yeah hard to wrap your head around the way they took the game…

Didn’t realize I was speaking to the spokesperson of ALL of the Classic players.

Classic gets zero marketing, the only people that play this are Retail players or old, long time unsubscribed players reliving their glory days.

DF will 100% attract people to come check it out.

Did you even play DF?? It’s insanely good lol.

Wrath isn’t even original Wrath, anyone that’s playing this game for the sake of reliving the glory days has their time passed by Blizzard’s greed and pride in changing the game from what it was to whatever it’s about to become in 2 weeks.

Lol I know, but it’s true!

I see people mention this around is there a list of changes someplace?

Some of the changes they made in Wrath are GOOD changes, like Wintergrasp changes.

This anecdote is the inverse of my experience. Everyone I talk to and play with on Classic has returned to play Classic, and not from Retail. From inactivity or from other hosts. Similarly, DF has zero hype in that demographic and zero interest outside of the crowd who is already subscribed to retail. Nobody is going to come over from FFXIV or some other game.

Meanwhile WOTLK on private servers has supported tens of thousands of concurrent players for the last decade, willing to connect to hosts on another continent just to get a taste of a drop of the expansion.

This is absolutely false. There are many games on battlenet, and it’s advertised through there. They also had some ads they ran on YouTube for Classic Vanilla and TBC.

I hope so.
