It’s not, it’s no different than the 3000 series Nvidia graphic cards being bought for $699 retail value and being resold for $4000 due to scarcity. Feldrake was one of the cheaper mount TCG cards on ebay($80-$120 iirc) and has only reached it’s extremely high value due to the TCG ending. The new 12 month subscription mount has more “value” than Feldrake when the TCG was still being printed.
The need of many mostly outweighs the need of few, or one. True.
While holding some similarities, that argument, especially the latter part, comes short when applied to a topic like this.
Regardless, the topic only shows that people will have serious issues in their futures when they stick too much to “value” of digital goods. The game fosters an unhealthy relationship between customer and the cooperation and it’s actually not funny to see how people come to defend the 1k-price tag for such things you can’t take into your own hands.
Nope, because if anything this holds as even more relevance because NO one is getting hurt by others getting the mount

There was no need to connect a mount to that promotion.
And this analogy, sadly, falls completely apart when it comes to the question (or justification) what exactly the rewards should be, as there is nothing along that line in the analogy.

Technically there is no need for a promotion…but plain and simple, yeah there was and if you are going to do a promotion you should have it with things people want. It quite obviously worked because of how many people are excited about it.

having twitch drops is great but using old tcg items as rewards takes away the value of those tcg cards/decks. They should use new up to date rewards for drops and not be using old items as a way of rewards. what next black qiraji battle tank as a twitch drop? how about tyrael charger as a twitch drop as well? dissapointed with all these drops from blizzard…
