In starting area in the opening creche: there is a lava area that can be ‘explored’ upon doing so your character will be stuck. Falling into this area causes the character to be pushed back up into mid-air. however the character cannot cast, cannot glide, and is stuck in an endless loop of bouncing up ad down over the pool of lava. If the character dies it will eb put back on a ledge in spirit form but there is no spirit healer so your only chance is to return to your corpse to repeat the infinite loop of being stuck. The Unstick feature fails, trying to delete the character fails, trying to lag back in with the character gives an error that the character “already exists” so essentially after 5 minutes of playtime you can no longer play. This is a huge oversight in many areas considering this is the first 5 minutes of playing the game and you are now blocked with a P-1 issue

Lots of places can get your character stuck. That is why Blizzard made an unstuck service.
Like OP mentioned, that tool does not work to solve this issue.
I’m stuck right now, made this Dracthyr to try the expansion, but surprise, I can’t try it, this sucks.
The worse part is my brother hope that I could find some fun here, but can’t say it
I had a forum moderator go out of his way - for which i am grateful, and get my character unstuck. I filed a ticket … I was severely disappointed to spend $150 on expansion and subscription for 5 minutes of play and then being told, go file a bug report and wait …
Having just bought the game I have also come across the issue and am now stuck in an infinite loop, to say I’m pissed off is an understatement having paid 100 bucks for the game
Update abandoning the quest fixed the issue
