Thank you kindly Blizzard - Our guild used to be a mid sized raid group about 15 years back, these days we are just a small 5-8 person guild, we really enjoyed the hard grind of the mega dungeon’s. Giving us a hard way to try and push for something different like a mega dungeon is great - Thank you for the chance to bring something fun back for us players who like wow but don’t have a massive guild - its something we can casually work on with a small group of friends, and still feel great when we down a boss.
This will make flightstones even harder to farm for alts.
Currently you can run an alt through a +1-10 easily and get bonus flightstones throughout each of those levels (assuming low score). With the change you will no longer be earning bonus flightstones because there is no score for completing a M0. This cuts out a decent amount of earnable flightstones compared to the current system.
No timer or affixes is their reasoning behind it. You just deal with mob and boss mechanics. Maybe we see more CC and safer slower pulls.
As opposed to M0 now?
It just seems goofy imo, drop the Adventurer track altogether and just put Heroic dungeons on the Veteran track and it solves the problem entirely
Is there a reason you cut off the entire first part of their post? Hmmm
I think the drake crest problems could mostly be solved by making M0 have a daily lockout. Sure, it’s more bites at the loot apple per dungeon than in M+, but the rewards are also a lot lower. Make the lockouts for M0 daily, and you’d have a winner on your hands.
can’t spam mythic zero under the new system - still has a weekly lockout despite being the new progression into mythic plus.
why even have lockouts for mythic zero? just make them like mythic plus and give them no lockouts - they should be spammable.
Azure Vault too. We can no longer skip the adds from 2nd to 3rd boss. Going to see a lot of wipes.
Umm, thats exactly what the article says they are doing lol
Veteran drops from heroic at 480-489
Not sure if it’s been mentioned, or if it will be a huge problem - but for those of us who are in cross faction guilds, who want to be able to do what is now considered the base Mythic equivalent, will cross faction queuing be looked at again?
The whole point of playing a game is to have an enjoyable time. That you agree that some affixes are not enjoyable is pretty indicative of the problem with affixes.
I personally find that affixes don’t let me enjoy the dungeon itself. I would much rather the challenges be baked into the dungeon in a thoughtful way, rather than a monkey-wrench throwing machine
No thanks. Keep your filthy raiding out of our M+ kekw.
No it’s not, Heroic dungeons drop Adventurer 4/8 gear
Interesting changes. I might actually try my hand at M0 and M+ again.
Dang, that’s a good point. Easier Mythic track gear for everybody
God I hope so!
There’s no good reason why I shouldn’t be able to queue up with my cross-faction friends.
I’d be pissed if I were a new player and couldn’t queue up with my friends.
Look at the right side of the chart, it for sure says adventurer drops from normal dungeons and veteran from heroic in the next season.
I think this is going to lead to some frustrating bumps in difficulty but I think we have been due for a “difficulty squish” on dungeons for a while now. If you compare the current difficulty curve to raids, it genuinely feels like LFR = m0, normal = +15s, 16-20ish = heroic. This leaves heroic and normal feeling especially pointless, but even M0 feels pretty pointless after everyone is done getting their pre-raid ilvl.
I also think it will help with the current difficulty bumps too. Like doing a heroic or an m0 will actually give you a taste of what is to come when timers and affixes are factored in. I have always hated the period after you reach max level in the middle of an expansion, where you feel like you have to do really boring, mindless content in order to get to an ILVL where you can actually do content that is interesting. Hopefully this fixes it.
It literally says Explorer from normal and Adventurer from Heroic
