How do you ret players feel about the tree heading into Dragonflight as it stands now

Only thing I’m excited about is having access to blinding light and short hoj at the same time, as well as magic BoP finally.
Everything else seems like a loss of dps from the current game, and they already deleted our only chance to get more mobility other then horse. Not a fan of being given a nerfed long arm of the law, then having them taunt us while taking it away lol.

ya barely any dmg outside of wings and some talents aren’t that good at all. blizzard for what ever reason does not like paladins.

Slightly more mobile with more cc (good), more extremely downs burst dmg (bad).
1 min sac is also kinda cool.
Who cares honestly? People who play ret-and paladin in general-should just delete their characters.

All of that plus the concerning amount of talents focused around consecration, and divine toll instead of Vanquisher’s Hammer.

Yeah the consecration talents are garbage unless they super buff the damage it does, or change how it functions. Would be better if it followed and emanated from us imo.
They did recently add a talent in that is similar to Vanq Hammer, but it only procs 25% bonus damage DS once every 30 seconds from judgment. Not sure if it will be worth running tbh. Will have to test it once I can.

Yeah i suppose if consecration did reasonable damage and functioned like DH’s immolation aura then it could be an interesting direction for the spec.
I didn’t realize they did a pass of talent changes to the ret tree. That judgment talent sounds like a bummer.
I feel like Consecration would have to be made into Consecration Aura for it to be any good in PVP.
Aside from that, even being able to drop two fully-specced consecrates on someone is still laughably low damage

I don’t trust blizzard with ret or at this point any class design going into DF. They actually said when it came to Long Arm of The Law “yeah we know that having a short burst of speed on a short cd is fun but we don’t like that”. They basically stated they know what rets want but don’t want to give it to you.
The moment I read that I couldn’t even be angry I just laughed.

Hpall talent tree is essentially just SL Hpall 2 the electric boogaloo.
