Dragonflight: Legacies, Chapter 1

Looks pretty cool. Seeing galakrond was pretty spoopy as well.

I donā€™t see how they possibly could do it by the proportions in this video. We remember how large Deathwing was in Cata when we had to fight him, and he was normal Aspect sized. Galakrond is how many times bigger? Thereā€™s just no way.

On second thought, the fight with Galakrond in the video is before the dragons received the gift of the Titans, making them bigger. It isnā€™t clear though exactly how much bigger they became.

Galakrondā€™s size is easy to discern, since his skeleton is laid for all to see in Dragonblight. And yeahā€¦heā€™s monstrous.

Ugly at models maybe ?

Galakrond is dead or was dead so do we know how he comes back yet? Resurrection, time loop or maybe reborn in which case he might be smaller. Iā€™m still for a monster raid boss with players fighting him on dragons.

he could end up being closer to deathwingā€™s size depending on how itā€™s done.
if itā€™s a we go back in time and help the proto-aspects fight him via caverns of time-esc scenario heā€™d be insanely large, but if itā€™s a ā€œhe was resurrected and now we have to stop him before itā€™s too lateā€ scenario heā€™d likely just be a big dragon since his size was related to the amount of proto-dragons he had cannibalized and the corruption from it at the time.

You mean like in the Occulusā€¦?

*spontaneous PTSD ensuesā€¦

That and eye of eternity but like really scaled up boss. I know some people had a rough time with those but I thought it was a blast and a cool change of pace than the normal fight a boss in a little room. Since they spent so much time on the dragonriding mechanics and the vehicle control stuff that went with it.

If we ride dragons in a boss fight again, I want to see more than just our dragons hovering around pewpewā€™n magic stuff at the boss. Give us something more exciting, like an ability where we can fly in close and bite and scratch them, claw their eyes out, thwack them with our tails, etc.

During the battle, Malygos would be able to lodge a boulder into Galakrondā€™s throat; causing Galakrond to ultimately choke to death.

The animation is just so beautiful and the acting is magnificent and the music is fitting. Overall, itā€™s good and the story about how the Dragonflight are born is great.

That would be so tight. But then Danuser would just ruin her too.

But I will give him credit. This cutscene wasnā€™t bad. Thatā€™s the nicest thing I have said about him in years.

P.S. That art is sick and itā€™s now my new background.

This was great!!! Something small and probably ridiculous that sort of bothers me is that Nozdormuā€™s voice is all echoey. Iā€™m just a bit tired of these voices sounded so reverberated to create a magical like effect. Itā€™s fine without talking through paper towel holders too.

More like chapter 1/2. Was kind of expecting something new. Still okay though. Gives me some ideas with order and chaos. What if we are trying to break free of the fate the titans set up and determine our own future, and while the aspects are trapped, the dracthyr being more akin to mortals are not?

That some things last forever.

Nice, but the ā€œanimationā€ felt clunkier than past videos done in this style. Like one pose doesnā€™t lead into another. A lot of times this was less limited animation and more just a comic book with different fames being different panels, not bound by the previous frame. But whatevs.

very very cool

Interesting that no exploration of why Galakrond was threat to the world (beyond just being a big hungry monster). I was expecting to see a touch about his death aspect or the matters in some of the books found in testing,
