I mean seriously, if you’ve been playing for more than a few months and still need add ons to play, I don’t think the add ons are going to help much.
I’m kidding, a little. In my old guild, DBM was required to raid, no one ever told me though and it was 5 years later when I finally downloaded it because my GL asked me if I had it, not because I made a lot of mistakes in raids, but because he was making a point to another guildy. I am ashamed to say that I lied and said in guild chat that I had all this time, but I immediately sent my GL a whisper and explained that I had never been told it was required and had never downloaded it. In fact, I had never used a single add on up to that point and was always either in the #1 spot for melee dps, or #2 for tanking.
I had the benefit of having played EQ for years before I played WoW, mostly as a warrior and tank in a raiding guild, but all other classes as well, so WoW wasn’t hard to get used to. So, add ons, which were unavailable in EQ, at least as far as I knew, weren’t necessary.
I reckon what I am saying is not to take WoW too seriously, it’s not a job, it’s a game and supposed to be fun, have fun.

This is the opposite of identifying the problem and addressing it. Folks will read the title and the first paragraph and immediately respond. What was even the point?
I literally only recently started useless the forums it was immediately noticeable because people call it out in the threads since they pop up everyday. It’s the same couple of people who post them. While yes, there is definitely an issue of people just spamming nonsense rants. They are emboldened by the few people that have been here for years and still aren’t banned

I’m not sure how or why the community council would be told about bot or security issues by Blizzard. They are just an outreach program.

OP you’re getting too close to the truth bro… The next step is to acknowledge that Blizz need/want these very low quality “criticism” posts, to make the player base feel more inclined to defend Blizzard. As a result, each passing day the community is less inclined to agree with any kind of criticism, even the good ones, because they get mad with the auto generated low quality ones.

Ngl, recently finished with farming ToT for good after getting both Horridon’s and Ji-Kun’s mounts finally, and it felt… paradoxical that I was slaying the Zandalari Trolls of ToT, as a Zandalari Troll myself… Made me ask myself, “Wait, we (Z-trolls) were the bad guys in this place??? I so don’t remember that 
.” It felt a tad bit ironic at least lol. But Idk, Zandalari Trolls are uber fun as a race so if it’s fun to me, I guess I’m gonna just play it?

Oh no doubt Blizzard is astroturfing its own forums. I’ve noticed a lot of posts or threads popping up before big news. (ie: Chris Metzen appreciation thread 6 days before the announcement, a post about how chainmail bikinis should be available to men).
But, I don’t think it’s just Blizzard. There are clear bots with clear agendas. You can see some in this thread.
I was fooled. The only tip-off in retrospect was all the topic switches.

You don’t need a WeakAura for literally any of these bosses. Day raiders use them to help with their speedruns.
