Making an entire thread about the subject of AI bots in game and in the forums, judging by 50% of the responses, probably wouldn’t even be read. I’m open to having another, more up-front discussion about it. But, we have to remember some posters are bots. 
It’s to prove a point and open a dialog about AI bots being used in our games. I think it’s necessary.

I read the whole thing. I always like to hear someone out and mull it over before I respond. About a week after launch I was starting to suspect that some of the longer posts that we were seeing were being generated by AI. I’m not sure why, but I heard about people using GPT but wasn’t aware of it’s capacity. I think it was maybe the frequency or the similarity between some of the longer posts. Which, of course isn’t evidence of anything because often players have similar like and or dislikes about a given thing.
So, yeah. It’s interesting and I can see it becoming a problem. Seeing something like this is troublesome because of a couple things. One, how well it summarized a lot of the criticism (whether we agree with it or not) we’ve seen and tied passion to it in the summary by the use of emotion. Which makes it more likely to land with people. As evident by some of the angry posts here.
And two, the more we’re exposed to ideas the more statically likely we are to be influenced by them for better or worse. So I worry for the designers that have see these kind of artificial posts and players that actually enjoy the game and given the ease at which the thing can produce these kinds of posts is a bit scary.

It’s scary, isn’t it? My post and yours both have the feeling of being written by an actual person. It makes you wonder what types of ideas and organizations uses these bots and to what end.

If bnet bots with multiple accounts keep using the forums to spread nonsense, you don’t think they have access to the game and chat?
