I haven’t enjoyed an expac this much since MoP.
It wasn’t, the teams working at Blizzard aren’t passionate because Blizzard is a horrible company to work for.
This former dev sums things up perfectly.
There is. Just nobody does it because there are no rewards for winning the multi-player races.
Raids have been pretty good.
World content is way too much timed events that overlap with each other than cause you to just sit waiting for timers.
The story is boring, but a boring story is a massive improvement over the story from BfA and Shadowlands.
It’s a better expansion than BfA and Shadowlands, so I guess it depends on your definition of a long time. I think Legion was better.
It’s a raid logger expansion. It even has social media integration via Twitch.
Raid loggers aren’t even happy with it, since they’re forced to run M+.
Mythic raiding guilds are also dying left and right and have an almost impossible time replacing players.
M+ is the de facto power grind of Dragonflight, and the new ilvl reset is going to make it even worse when S3 hits lol.
3 years is a long time.
Only 1000 guilds are 9/9 mythic in the entire world right now. ROFL!!!
Mythic raiding needs deleted. I don’t care what the Mythic raiders that spam these forums say, it is bad for the game.
I’m not a mythic raider, but I doubt that you have a convincing argument for why having multiple raid difficulties is bad for the game.
You want something you dont do and your bad at deleted? lol
This number is going to be even lower for S3 lol.
Well spent development resources by Blizzard.
Like the casual content they throw at players that immediately invalidates the rest of the content of the expansion every 2 months. Just complete waste of resources from Blizz, no idea what they are doing.
The entire world of Legion stayed relevant for an expansion. Yet Blizz finds ways to invalidate the entirety of DF content in a mini-patch for those that care about player power.
No, I agree with it! I have been having a blast. I’m pretty casual but I have a bunch of alts and they all feel like butter.
I think the problem is you conflated “best expansion in a long time” with “best expansion of all time”.
Since we’ve gone from WoD to SL with all bad expansions (Legion was the start of the borrowed power slip from BFA to SL, it’s good in hindsight but people who played Legion will tell you the legendaries felt terrible until the tail end of Legion), it’s a fairly true statement.
I actually spend more time in WoD than Dragon Isles lol.
not really. i don’t find it particularly strange that not everyone shares my opinions on everything. in this case i do think it’s a good expansion.
I think it’s the nail in the coffin for endgame PvE. Grinding dungeons for an entire expansion is only appealing to a very small portion of the player base. WoW game design as its been for a while has shoved quite a lot of players into the ‘end-game loop’. It’s like a sac filling with pus, those players are angry, easily upset, and don’t want to even be there. Very quickly they get burnt out and quit, and the ones that stick around get worn out. Simply put, the game isn’t made for the WoW player of yesteryear. It’s why they don’t play anymore.
PVE is good but holy hell they gotta do something about the addon situation. Working on Mythic Echo currently and the addons needed to do this fight are a huge red flag that something needs to change.
In a way it’s correct because m+ and raids have never been in a better state than now and that’s what most people do.
So, you think the game was bad when for the bulk of its existence it only had 2 difficulties. I’m not including LFR here, because it isn’t really raiding.
The game was fine with normal and heroic, they changed it when Ion became director, imagine that.
Why do you think it is healthy for a game that only 20k players are 9/9 mythic towards the end of a patch?
What is good about having content that .0001% of the player base ever gets to clear?
Lets stick to just talking about Mythic raids here too.
