Came here for the same issue- non-dracthyr alts cannot start Dragonflight but CAN get the quest to start the Plains. So far haven’t found a solution, I’ve tried zoning in and out, changing timelines, etc.
Not the end of the world but a pain!

I just logged onto my new character and I didn’t get the breadcrumb quest for DF. Must be broken/bugged.

Same here, not working, some guy says that the event popin up quest is overriding the DF quest.

Hitting 18 didn’t fix anything. But, like I said, no big deal. Having fun in Northrend instead.
