10/10 would ride
Hah, yeah, we should get Ogres! They were only on the Horde for a tiny amount of time, so you canât really say they âbelongâ to the Horde, and as seen in WoD they never really got along with the Horde as it is, so Blizzard could pull some random crap and shoehorn them onto the Alliance. Like maybe the Ogres burnt their dinner and blame it on Orcs instead of taking responsibility for their own actions, and instead go to the Alliance because we have tasty cheeses. It wouldnât even have to make any sense!
No. But it might kill me.
The last time Blizzard âfiddledâ with the rams, they turned the soothing rhythmic gait of the basic racial ones into an out-of-control rocking horse animation that made me sick to my stomach.
So personally, given that two of my characters use rams as their grounds mount (dwarf priestess used white and rogue gnome used brown), I would prefer that Blizzard keep their picky mitts off them!
Beside, due to the âfluffinessâ of the rams the sharp edges really donât show, not like the Quelâdorei Steed which looks fro behind like its hindquarters come to actual points on each side.
I have to say, I honestly never noticed it. I see the rocking horse gait you are talking about, but it doesnât bother me really. It certainly doesnât feel as extreme as you described, but that could just be me. I can see how it would bother someone and take away their enjoyment. Itâs simply odd there are only two updated rams. Especially when one is obtained through arena and the other is no longer available, unless they bring back Korrakâs Revenge.
Itâs funny cause we all know you mean the elves which were originally an Alliance race but were given to the Horde because there was a REAL faction imbalance back in OG WoW.
If weâre lucky, maybe theyâll steal Vulpera too, since theyâre the newest Alliance Reroll race.
I have a feeling it will be the same⊠literally the same and not diff skins for each faction⊠Bobby needs to cut development costs for his exit bonus.
I absolutely love the Fallen Charger I got this year. I just wish he could fly! Nothing wrong with horses and serpent type mounts bouncing around make me sea sick anyway!
The extreme animation, that was introduced when Shdowlands pre-patch dropped, has been toned down a bit as of this date, to the point where, if I use a âfar viewâ as oppose to my typical âjust behindâ view, it no longer makes me nauseous. Usually.
However, if you compare the white ram and the swift white ram, you will clearly be able to see how exaggerated the animation of the white ram still is.
I find the way Blizzard does things tends to be inconsistent, unmindful and often counter-intuitive, which I way I prefer that they keep their hands off assets I actually use and enjoy.
(I live in fear of the day they start âupdatingâ vanillaâs armor given the way they just removed the original stater zone gear and replaced it with such elaborate, clearly not the gear of a beginner.)
Not sure why we would need mounts if they are giving us black dragon race and a racial will be turning into a dragon anyways /s
Ah, Iâll hop on a regular white ram after work and give it a go. I logged on briefly this morning to experiment and rode a swift ram and a vicious war ram.
I definitely understand that feeling. Hereâs to hoping they donât do that. I remember some being unhappy when they stealth updated the Amani bear mounts to the new model. Some people liked that older model. A friend I play with prefers the older bear model. For others it was a sign of when you got the mount. I donât mind updates as long as they donât mess things up or replace something people really liked.
Me too.
I am all for updates by competent people where they just update the assets, not change them.
For instance, the Quelâdorei Steed is in desperate need of an update. And it would be an easy thing to do using the new horse model with its unpointed hindquarters as the base, color it the same as the old model and add updated versions of the same chest hair, beard and horn. But I doubt the current crop of devs could resist âfiddlingâ with it and we would end up with a completely different looking horned horse (likely covered in ugly armor ).
Actually itâs horse-dragons
We need to name this monstrosity.
A Dorgon? Dorse? Horgon maybe.
