I’ve never really been a big dragon age guy (I played maybe half of origins and like it well enough) but I agree with the takes that this gives off a saccharin vibe that is totally unappealing. I’m getting day 1 battle pass vibes, which is weird from an RPG. Specifically this one.

According to journalists who saw demos of the game the tone of the trailer is not indicative of the actual game

So that’s nice.
And hearing that the gameplay is more action RPG than the older games is good news for me, because I never really liked the “real time with pause” CRPG style. Either be action or be a turn based game, the hybrid doesn’t work for me.
