To be fair, any people may name things any way they want. That’s normal. It’s just a feature of their language, not a feature of the land itself.
Like, think of the fact that Greece is actually called “Elládha” by the greeks and Japan’s japanese name is “Nihon”, etc.
There’s actually a word for this type of thing: An exonym.
What’s really weird is the fact that the Orcs decided to use the Draenei word for the world instead of coming up with their own name. And then by establishing the Horde and coming into contact with the Alliance, they spread that name to the whole of Azeroth.
