Dracthyr, NEED more Classes

Vulpera Evoker or Kultiran would be so cool lol

I’m not surprised they’re limited to one class. You could see that coming when they made dh’s. Two specs two races. They don’t have the ideas frankly to flesh out a whole three spec most races class anymore. Monk was the last of that.

I disagree. I feel that having this one class/race is fine. It’s a DRAGON race that uses DRAGON POWERS. That’s their main idea they are going for. It makes sense. You have a bunch of other tanks to choose from I think it will be fine. I believe this is a neat direction to go into and it doesn’t harm anything. It’s time they got a hero class (monk was not a hero class) that was a range dps and a healer the past two were both all melee/tanks. It’s a nice change and their take on it looks really interesting!

More classes = more animations
More animations = more dev time
More dev time on this = less dev time on fun stuff

This is them figuring out Project Management. Stop crying about it. They’ve done the thing we want.

Tying the class to a single race (and vice versa) let’s them do some truly unique things with animations and racials. Not to mention cutting down on production costs.

I’m reserving judgement for now.

considering this thread is basically saying they haven’t done the thing we want, I will disagree with your thesis.

With claws, fangs and other dragon attributes including brutal strength and thick scales… which they are not using because???

Which is fine, but they could use more classes.

You seem to care more then you stat you do.

Also lore is important to games, the fact you don’t care about it makes anything you ask irrelevent.

This thread is asking them to do things without looking at bandwidth and time tables.

in an mmo where such things is expected of them to do.

I think the design probably limits that. I suspect dracthyr can only use evoker and evoker can only work with dracthyr.

It’s a hero class. Dragon Fantasy. dragon flight. dragon abilities. It’s the only form with access to those features.

it’s a dragon class that only uses wings and breath attacks, which does not cover the full dragon fantasy really.

They are missing out on using claws/fangs/brutal strentgh and other attributes normally found in such dragon classes.

This could somewhat be made up by letting them be more classes.

  1. I think it’s perfectly acceptable to want these things. Project management hurdles are a blizzard problem, not an “us” problem.

  2. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on why they made this choice to see where it goes. obviously, as a tank main, I’m sad I can’t tank as a Dracthyr.

All feedback is valid, not just feedback I personally agree with.

That class would likely have to be designed for dracthyr. It would likely have to be a new spec for evoker. I would be all for that. I just don’t expect to see it. they decided they wanted to focus on ranged. a dragon works for that. they have devastating magic.

Lately Blizz has been listening a whole lot more to their customers, so never say never.

Even for GD, this is a spectacularly bad take.

I think it will be never. I really doubt they will because it likely isn’t feasible. It isn’t designed for it. from a Thematic or technical perspective.

They are listening to complaints about systems clearly hurting the game. Not every dumb idea

Is there a source on this? If so that would be incredible. I want a bulky dragon.

Why would you use a sword/axe/shield when you are a freaking dragon?

You get a breath weapon, claws, tail and magic!

it was in an interview. I’ve seen people post it many times

Cool, ty. I’ll check out some of the interviews.

They want evoker to be strictly ranged.

Not really, planning like that is what managers are for.

Thing is, multi class races is a normality in mmo’s, so this is not a dumb idea.

You trolling? This is a foolish question, I play other games with rich lore too.
