You are very right if the Blizzard developers can put them later why not put it now and what is the reason if in this post the entire wow community is giving reasons and giving us another answer
Well, I mean they’re alike in the way that a Wizard and a Sorcerer is alike in Pathfinder and what-not.
Both use magic, one comes from innate bloodlines and all of that, the other comes from study.
They’re similar but definitely not exactly the same thing.
Like I’ve discussed several times previously, I get that. I think this one is just too heavily restricted as it excludes a whole portion of the triad and it’s very strange for a race to not have the option to tank, dps, or heal. All others do.

DH is a CLASS, not a RACE. There is a difference. As I’ve pointed out, Evoker should’ve just been a hero class for certain races, if they were not going to give Dracthyr more class options.
A Race should not be locked into only getting 1 class. But I am fine with Evokers only getting to be Dracthyr.
I’ve listed the reasons for Mage, Shaman, and presumably warrior.
But Ion has already said the lore would just be they learned from the Alliance/horde.

The Evokers DPS and heal. Two roles in the triad. Only two classes have specs for all three roles. Several have specs for only one.
Evoker is not the race tho
Dracthyr is the Race and they have no class yet that can Tank

A mage uses more than just arcane. The source of the power is different, but they behave the same. You use spells to blast people, usually with a cast time. Unless this is going to be a very mobile mage, which I can’t see happening with the charge mechanic, it will be the same. And I don’t just mean a few movement abilities you can use outside of a cast. I mean something like Kil’Jaeden’s Cunning, or glyph of Lightning Bolt Shaman.
I suppose it might also feel different if the theme comes across well enough. Something like a DoT that causes the enemy to age faster and their buffs to time out faster might be cool.
The sorcerer uses the same spells as the wizard. In lore they are different, and in DnD you can certainly roleplay with that, making the Sorcerer a different kind of fun. However, in video games that doesn’t come across as well. There’s a reason people are asking for class fantasy to be put back in the classes rather than homogenizing them further.

After thinking about it and letting the hype from the reveal fade out, they really should add more classes. It’s a missed opportunity and would appeal to more players.
Mage, Warrior, Shaman, and Priest would be my picks for them.

Not different. I don’t mind the idea of more classes later, maybe. Or even deciding to give Evokers a tank spec in 10.
Of the two I’d probably prefer Evoker tank spec and no new classes.
What I’d really object to is a melee dps spec for Evoker.

Ah, okay. Yeah, I’m fine with either of those solutions–and I do agree that Evoker doesn’t need a melee dps spec.
I think the simplest solution is to just open some additional classes up at some point.

What I said in a different thread is perfect I think.
By that same argument, any race could be any class, they just have to write a reason for it…
But they haven’t done that, they still think lore reasons are valid enough. I agree, for now.
Also, to be clear, they have said opening Dracthyr to other classes in the future is a possibility, not a definite.
I think the most amusing solution would be to let them be DH in 11 so the race can have all 4 roles, but only two at a time.

Yeah, those are Demon Hunters. I’m talking about a race that adds draconic abilities to any class they roll. It would be OP.

Though, to be honest, you could reskin a DH to fit dragon themes fairly easily…
