Dracthyr is SO boring

Dracthyr is boring, but Dracthyrs don’t have to be.

Preservation Evoker is the most fun I’ve had with a healing spec since Legion RDruid.

DPS Evokers…yeah, spec is clunky and could use a bit of love.

I’m just very guarded against people asking for changes because a class is boring. When blizzard hears that, their response is usually to add three buttons and another build-spend or proc mechanic.

It makes me nervous at all times. Especially since this is finally a class where all of the buttons feel like they do something noteworthy and none of it feels weak.

For example, I love the talent that increases my living flame damage by 40% in exchange for a 0.5 second longer cast time. It feels more like an old school frostbolt or fireball like this, and not so much like filler spells.

That’s what does it for me right there. They look very cool, their lore is interesting and soar is the most fun thing ever, but I still have a thing with casters. I like warlocks and I’m pretty sure it has to do with being metal AF.

What kinda fun we talking about :smirk:

Goldshire! :yum:

Its funny watching them flying into bad and dying.

I wasn’t sure when I first played them and thought once I get out of noob village I’m done but having played them more I like the different feel to their playstyle. The one thing I dislike is their double jump glide. Feels like a poor mans DH glide. It feels stiff compared to them.

To each their own.

They definitely could benefit a lot from more mobility.

I feel the same. My friend and i were both shocked at how boring the starting area was for dracthyr. When you leave the starting area you still have no idea how to build or play the class. Then after researching how to play them we are left with boring low cooldown spam and a fee cool high cd abilities. It feels clunky and unfinished.
The elemental primal invasions could not be more boring and tedious.

ALSO: So disappointed that DRAGONFLIGHT doesnt have raid set for their dragon race/class that transmogs to their body. Just shoulder and belt. They could have at least made the raid or dungeon set fit the Dracthyr!!!

Yup i was honestly amazed how basic it was. No Synergy nothing to watch out for just a 2 button spam. Honestly this is how demon hunters felt when they came out. However demon hunters had a couple of things going for them like they had more interesting abilities a couple other abilities to press other than the 3 button spam and they actually looked cool unlike the dragon race.

I think its pretty widely accepted that the new dragon race doesnt actually look cool by most peoples standards anyway. Nothing like demon hunters on release.

So it looks lame so do they make up for it with interesting abilities or a good dps spec? Outside of soar which is going to be class wide soon with dragonriding… No they are not.

I think there is at least one other class besides evoker to play

??? Devastation has zero synergy between spells you either use AOE filler or single target filler. When you can you spend on either AOE or single target 1 spell each. Which means you are at 2 spells, then every minute to use a empower.

No interesting procs, No interesting abilities. Just spamming 2 buttons. Like at least add in a proc or something to make it interesting but the only procs are passive and they dont even require you to react or to do something differently.

Not true. Demon hunter is far better now than it was on release. It has more buttons it can do more things, it can react to things differently, its far superior than when it launched.

Evoker in 2 expansions time will be amazing and you will think if only we had x sooner.

Thanks for your opinion

No. It seems pretty true. They nerfed everything else just so the Dracs would seem more powerful.

But I am super skilled at a paladin and so I went into do Korracks Revenge back to back to back. Averaged 3 to 7 deaths per BG.

My Drac averaged 28 to 37 deaths per bg.

The flip side though is that for the first time ever I have found a class that easily gets more HKs than hunters get in a BG. As back to back it was Dracs who lead the HK count . On average usually hunters do that.

I saw someone mention no synergy in a couple posts above and it got me thinking. Would’ve been cool if for each different color spell being used on the same target it would increase the output by a small percentage something like 1%. So, five colors would equal a 4-5% increase in dmg/healing/slow depending on if you count the first spell as one or the second spell.

The only thing I would rather have is the ability to stay in the mortal form…other than that I’m good

There is no synergy because its either single target or AOE. And depending on the target situation you press 2 buttons .

Synergy might be in a single target you have a proc that empowers your claw AOE ability to do more damage so its viable to weave into the rotation in single target now and again or pyre does okay damage every now and again. But no its just 2 buttons
