I want to bring awareness to an issue that hasn’t gotten much attention by the WoW community at large, for the past 8 or so months the voice over lines for Dracthyr Evokers has been broken when in dragon form, we have no voice emotes, no error messages (I cannot use that Item, I need a Target, ect……) nothing.
This issue cropped up when Dracthyr were given more playable classes, at first non-Evoker Dracthyr had no voice lines until Blizzard “fixed” the problem but in the process they took away Evoker voices and they haven’t corrected the issue. We have reported the issue via ingame bug reporting and there’s a handful of threads on the forums but we haven’t gotten any sort of acknowledgement from Blizzard about a fix or if they are even aware of the problem.
The length of time that this has gone on for is ridiculous and the problem is still showing up on the 11.2.5 PTR. I’m not a game dev but I feel like an audio bug like this should be a fairly straight forward fix.
The DK vocal effects were actually an issue with the console settings, any player could have easily corrected it if they knew what to type in (even now you can use the console to enable/disable the effect), besides they still had a voice. Right now Dracthyr playing Evoker are entirely silent in their Dragon form, imo this is a more serious issue then what DK’s dealt with.
I also experience this and hate it. Seems like a glaring oversight on Blizzard’s part. I hardly ever use human form, so my Evoker is mostly silent. It feels like they don’t have an identity.
We need to keep speaking up whenever we can, every time there’s a new PTR build we need to jump on it and report the problem as a bug, we need to do the same in Live. We need to keep these threads active, we need to talk about the problem on other platforms like Reddit. Eventually if we make enough noise the devs are bound to take the time to fix it.
Indeed, and it can also be argued that this is an accessibility issue. These voice lines being missing means that audio cues for people who need them are also gone.
But it is genuinely annoying to play a female non-Evoker dracthyr and to have her make male grunts and noises

Between the lack of transmog and blizzard STILL not fixing this voice issue, It really feels like blizzard doesn’t give a damn about us dracthyr players.
Another Evoker here I can confirm this bug is still in the game. We have no voice lines while in dragon form, from voice emotes to battle sound ect. Please fix this its been so long since it has worked.
