Yes,yes, yet take it there,op.I feel this relationship will change soon and we will become enemies, nothing is peaceful last long in wow,we turn and the dark has it’s own plans.
Paltry examples when stacked up against the amount of content that has been delivered.
Whoes plan was it? theirs or ours wants, that is the difference. if they plan for it it would’ve already been but if we wanted it unplanned it’s more of a no go.
Honestly would be fine with Dracthyr AND Drakonid.
If we can have eight trillion elves, two of which have the exact same silhouette (void and blood) then we can have two dragon-themed races dangit.
that depends, you talking the two-legged kind, or the 4-legged ones? cause i mean… i can see blizzard making them just to shut-up the people (like myself) who complained about dracthyr being too scrawny.
honestly, if they add a race from this expansion to be playable, i’m hoping it’ll be the tuskarr. no, i’m not joking, i wanna play as the walrus people. hopefully they’d have a fishing buff, cause god-dang do i want a race with a fishing buff… highmountain tauren have one, but i mean the ‘+10 to x profession’ kind of fishing buff.
…i do believe i’ve gotten off topic- no, i don’t think they’re amping-up to give us drakonids, if they were going to do that, they would’nt have given us dracthyr.
they totally could! but i don’t think they will.
The four legged ones are called Dragonspawn, they’re their own thing.
Dragonspawn are the centaur-like dragonkin.
Drakonid are the humanoid variety.
And honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get both. Drakonid are the only ones that get a direct mention by the developers in the same breath as allied races as a concept (and the whole dragonkin rebellion questline), while Tuskarr got more-or-less the same NPC options that Vulpera got well before their announcement.
wait… you right. sorry, i’ve been up all night, hard for me to remember things/word-good after being up so long.
also your right about that, but you should’ve added night-elves and nightborne to that list, i feel their silhouettes are pretty-darn close too.
Draconids don’t work because of their body shape. They have the ogre and naga problems. Too big, or in this case too wide. They have no way to put on most transmog. Then flying mount…oh dear, no way. Doorways of older zones would be impossible to enter unless you made them baby draconids. Just a whole host of problems.
Tauren have existed for 20 years.
Tauren also could not enter doors when they were first made, was awkward. They had to shrink them.
Not true.
They shrunk the hitbox pre-release.
Not the model.
Excuse you! His name is Star Wars Kid and he is an absolute legend!
Okay maybe not. But this edit was amazing.
Wasn’t there a data mine thing where there was a voice clip of a Draconid saying “Not enough rage”? Because I remember there was something similar with the blood elf having the “Not enough rage” voice clip data mined too before blood elves getting the warrior class.
I’ve seen the rumour, but I’ve never seen a source. And it was for Dracthyr, not Drakonid. Regardless, it’s pretty common to get a ton of potential stock lines recorded even if there is no current intent to utilize those lines. It’s for the sake of future proofing. They could have zero intention of making Dracthyr Warriors, but if Blizzard twenty years in the future wants to make them a reality, they make it easy for them.
Scratch that, found a secondary source:
Still just there as a part of a generic checklist rather than a display of actual intent.
Oh, nah, if full-on dragons were an option, I’d ditch the option of Dracthyr and/or Drakonid. My only gripe is that Blizz probably wouldn’t give us the option to have an anthro version of our dragon forms as an option for our visage form.
They said they considered playable dragons, found it untenable, and created the Dracthyr as a compromise. We’re never going to get playable dragons outright. We got a few relevant bits of them chopped off and cobbled into Dracthyr. Hence my hope that the missing bits can also be cobbled into another playable race with the Drakonid.
When they expand evokers to all races, the other races should turn into drakonids instead of dracthyr to do their evoking. This makes sense, since the mortal races who pledged their service to dragons were the ones who became drakonids.
i mean drathyrs, dracotyrs, drapesoides, those new thingy race dragons, look pretty bad, so the new dragons will just be just as bad.
It makes zero sense as drakonids do not have wings, tails, typically breath fire, or do any inherently draconic spellcasting.
