DPS getting buthurt

Anyone else notice dps who are “70 and nax geared” getting buthurt if they dont get an inv to the dungeon?

Because a few classes such as rogues and warriors went from being easy #1 dps at all times to being a utility. You’re going to have some salty people lol

Rogue and Fury warrior are still good.

This is what people seem to not understand. I loved doing 5 mans at least on my rogue. Never had an issue getting groups either. Rogues are extremely useful in 5 mans. You just have to understand why you’re there.

DPS for pugs should just expect that spots get filled quickly honestly. Naxx gear doesn’t mean a lot at 70.

I haven’t seen any DPS super upset they didn’t get invited but I run with friends and guild groups for the most part.

Not compared to other classes they aren’t.

What classes are actually better; make a list and detail why. I am interested in your observations.

I always chuckle when some idiot feels to need to specify that they’re particularly geared to do normal dungeons. If anything, all the geared warlocks and mages I’ve seen play like garbage.

I saw a funny meme on Reddit. It was Frodo looking at the ring. The meme said “DPS looking at threat meter” and Frodo says “It’s some kind of Elvish; I can’t read it.”

Do I really need to? I can at least give rogue some points for being able to sap and pick locks, but other than that neither class offer any utility and their dps is less than most other specs.

I just find it funny that these former kings of dps still try to justify their spots after ridiculing hybrid dps throughout vanilla. Yes you can get spots in raids and raids will be cleared with them just like they were with hybrids in vanilla. Are they optimal… no.

Sorry, but the meta has changed.

the DPS that are smart are forming their own groups and doing the work putting it together. That’s basically their utility. When I respec resto for the week to bang out heroics I don’t want to be bothered to form a group. I just look for whoever is forming a heroic and needs a healer. I’d say the majority of the time it is a DPSer that is doing the work. Those are the smart ones. That’s your utility, you’re serving as a group finder lmao

Sometimes in groups I would apply crip poison to slow mobs that like to flee and irritate the tank or for situations where DPS pull agro and the tank wants to get the mob back before it pummels the warlock. Also there wasn’t a lot of casts going off when I was a rogue. Lots of annoying kickable stuff. A lot of very annoying mobs can be stunlocked quite effectively too.

Also blind has been really clutch a bunch of times. Vanish saps or vanish distracts for dangerous patrols etc. Rogues can be useful in a ton of different ways. A good rogue might throw a sick kidney shot on that mob that just pulled to your healer. You are seriously underestimating rogues in 5 man.

Sounds like you’re still pretty upset about this. Time to let it go, friend.

Naxx geared warlocks are basically in pre-bis, they will do over 1k DPS if they have any type of skill at all. Why would you not invite them?

I’ve had people try to poach me while at the summoning stone lol. The tank shortage is real

Only Hunters really best us but they’re overtuned. On most fights a properly geared rogue can easily keep up with a lock. Obviously we don’t do much in AE, but who cares about that meter padding crap.

Uh… nope… not on Pagle and not on Mankrik. Never once witnessed this.

It’s always mages and locks I see claiming Naxx gear at 70.

meh a dps is a dps for normal 5 mans.
