Doubling down on tentacles instead of the cosmic void theme

I just want to throw my 2 cents and opinion in: I was really enjoying the theme and aesthetics revolving around the new void/cosmic style. I was never a fan of the whole tentacle thing but it seems we are doubling down on that instead of following the newer style theme…

Just wanted to mention that I am bummed about this. There is a tiny bit of hope that a lot of the “still in progress” stuff for void weaver changes things thematically for the spec, but I fear they are going to instead just rework the entire Voidweaver hero stuff instead.

Creating a whole new spec for Demon Hunter and giving them the entire aesthetic and theme just feels terrible.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go clean out my bags. Oh hey, look what I just found… [ Xal’atath, Blade of the Black Empire]… If only there was some link between the theme of the Midnight expansion and priests…

Yeah sorry about not posting this in your thread. Honestly I was disappointed enough I wanted to make my own post so maybe it has a better chance of being seen.

no no no, this is good. More threads coming out regarding this, the better.

I just wanted to chain it too for double the visability :D.

I Just want people to express what they like and dislike more now before they end the window of oppertunity.

One thing I want to mention as well because I’ve seen it brought up in other posts: this specific topic has nothing to do with the gameplay of the spec. And trust me, that is an important topic itself - but this is purely about the cosmetics and theming.

Blizzard apparently just can’t make anything for DHs without stealing from other specs.

Both themes are bad compared to the OG death/mind theme imo. What even is a void/cosmic theme? It just seems like an even more generic and ambiguous dark theme. Yea, I’m not a huge fan of tentacles/eldritch horror theme, but at least the Old Gods have some connection to the original mind attacking themes. What does cosmic even mean?

shadow is just the void’s magic just as holy is the light’s magic.

pretty much, everything shadow and old gods all comes form void.

void – devouring, vampiric, all the above and more. its the main thing

Void is just the cosmic force that apparently now we can tap into FULLY. might as well.

100% agree. Some tentacles are ok, too many tentacles just makes the spec look silly.
