DoTs and Debuffs on enemy nameplates

I hadn’t been on in a few days and when I jumped on for an hour today, I could see every bad thing I was doing to a monster taped to the top of their nameplate. This didn’t happen before. Turned every addon off. Still happening.

Is this a new thing? Is there a switch to turn it off, like when I engage my core? Or do I have to write a small addon to capture whatever event is related to whatever tapes the flash cards up there?

I knew that already.

Turns out a number of my CVars had been jacked up, the most important of which were UnitNameHostleNPC, which is kinda vital, and nameplateShowOnlyNames, which I’ve noticed getting reset or not enforced in some new zones.
