Dont roll a Paladin

I leveled a hunter first… its pretty boring but a quick nice first 60 for farming and filling a raid spot.

Leveling my pally atm and I really like healing with it. Prot seems super cool and being able to AoE farm is also nice.

Op, playing a hybrid is not for the average wow player who just wants to log in and pew pew.

For a certain group of players though, playing a hybrid is very rewarding. Being able to fulfill all group roles on the druid, for example, is what has led that class to being my main since wrath of the lich king. Naturally I mained a druid during classic as well.

And now for SoM, its time for the paladin. Loving it.

TL-DR

Op, research what hybrids can do. Think outside the box. You may find that hybrids shine in unexpected ways aside from the recount add-on.

The best reason to level a paladin is unrivaled goldfarming in peace.

Grab a Skullflame, go Prot, farm DME lasher packs and pick up herbalism. You can solo two bosses (including the last boss for the RTVs) as well in there (plenty of guides on YT for both).

Easy money.

I’ve been leveling a pally and it’s pretty far down on my list for fun factor while leveling. I kind of sat there at 44 and was lie “Yeah… do I want to keep going?” but yes I did.

Anyway, my main goal with it is healing and PVP healing/support and I’m pretty sure I’ll have fun with that. I’ve already done priest or probably would have gone that route but I like to play different classes. There are also some farms that seem decent so that’s nice.

I read this as “wrath of the licking” and did a double-take.

eek!
I fixed that thanks!

This is the way.

I loved the fact that I could tank and heal as a hybrid Prot/holy spec levelled from 15-60 80% in dungeons during the launch of SoM. Pally tanking is fun if you like, as you said, working around mana, threat, and other normal tanking issues. But yeh endgame is a struggle bus for anything outside the normal specs.

I actually really enjoy Druid. I know it’s not the best but it’s a fun class to play. I prefer playing Druid much more than pally. i also really like that Druid actually has good leather gear made for their class

I ended up playing a mage again. It was my first main but I haven’t touched the class in 17 years. Having much more fun even though I’m not much of a dps player

I’m still leveling my paladin in SoM. Made it to 33 without dying so far.

Still having fun!

You just chickened out.

I’ve never played one, so I only can try to figure them out from pvp.

From what I can tell, they have a pretty mean pvp spec, and some derp pve specs. So like every other class.

Bubble can be annoying, but that’s their class… like stealth for rogues.

I guess my first question is, do you play this game like the rest of the noobs here and metaraid icyveins pve spec ur way through leveling.

Or did you spec pvp and get the most out of 1-60? If pally is anything like priest, you don’t need talents to heal, just a quick gear swap.

I see it all the time with horde warriors. They spec main tank fury naxx to level 1-60. They can’t hold aggro over heals, and can’t pvp out of a paper bag. Then they complain about leveling a warrior.

…but like I said, I never would play alliance.
