Don’t post here often but just wanted to say I wish I had seen this a couple weeks ago. Decided to roll fire due to the simple fact frost wasn’t doing enough damage as frost. In our guild raid I was parsing 60-95% every pull but was still bottom to mid table of the damage at best, getting beat by MM hunters and Boomies who are parsing lower and lower item levels.
Crafted my legendary, spent countless hours on the training dummies but just couldn’t get a grip of fire mage, run both some m+ and raid but just couldn’t get the rotation down, ended up doing less damage than frost…
Was about to literally give up on mage before these buffs got introduced, have even leveled a new toon from scratch this past week, hopefully the buffs are enough to make me want to switch back to frost mage.
