Flavour and fantasy are just as important as gameplay to me if I am going to be spending a lot of time playing a spec. I fell in love with Survival in TWW and, while I do think its very fun on live, I am extremely disappointed that we’re leaning even more into the fire/bombs because I love the idea of being a melee Hunter, and for me those two themes clash with each other a lot.
If I am a melee Hunter, why are Raptor Strike and Takedown my only melee abilities? Why am I even in melee range if I have bombs, a shotgun and molotov cocktails, wouldn’t picking up a gun or bow to attack at range just make more sense at that point? What about my poor pet, is it somehow flame resistant?
At this point, I would almost rather devs just pick a direction and commit to it, because right now it feels like they’re just throwing ideas at the wall and hoping something will stick, and the spec’s identity is suffering for it.
