When think about Hunters either from fantasy or just reality they are often associated with traps, guns, or bows, all technical items.
Explaining that Survival is a melee spec that is focused on explosives, and you would think it’s more of a Guerrilla fighter or combat expert.
I think Blizzard is moving away from the typical idea of a hunter, and taking the name Survival as the core concept. They are not interested in taking trophies or food. It’s about dispatching your enemy quickly and most efficient.
I think what others are still hung on is that they still want Survival to be this trapper and collector. However, that not the fantasy behind Survival, and it’s core abilities express it.
The best way to solve WfB problem is just give it a optional graphical changes. It far too impactful on Survival rotation to remove it. Any alternative will cause balancing issues, so throwing Glaives might look nice but it not going to give same damage output as WfB.
Instead of redesigning Survival again we should learn on a quick fix that not to impact on its play-style.
