Ironically im haveing more fun playing my mobile games lately then again i got a sweet gameing tablet with me now wow is my 2nd game at best if that.I might try out elder scrolls online final fantasy 14 is to close to wow to make it even worth trying imho.
I can totally understand that.
I’m in the same situation. I really wanna quit and I cancelled my sub, but I got 6 months back in November I think, mostly due to the price increase in Brazil (price went up to R$ 38/month via game time, but it goes for about R$ 32 on a 6-month sub so it’s worth) but I expected I would enjoy the expansion enough to make use of the 6 months but nope, 3 months in and I was already disappointed, now I still have 2 left and the only reason I am still playing is since Blizzard doesn’t do partial refunds on subscription, I don’t wanna to just quit and leave them with this time for free lol
Also i been playing WoW from the very start so getting bored of it easy would be understandable as well lol.
I have been playing since Lich King and I have never been this bored with it.
Im doing the coven storys and only maybe one coven didn’t make me fall asleep.I enjoyed the power expansion that BFA was this feels very underpowered imho! They removed to many thing plus nerfing the loot drop rates was a massive no no imho.Heck even the new gear coming will just be some reused art work lazyness lol.
When I was doing my Covenant story, I got a little more interested in the game, but then the story came to an abrupt end and I was bored again.
it sucks because i really wanted this to be my only game this year as well.Shadowlands feels to vanilla for my likeing.
Pretty much the same here i was done with one then went into boredom mode again.
Im going to play the heck out of wow on and off until my sub runs out but i can’t see me playing long turn staying power i just don’t feel it’s there atleast for me it’s not.Im not like one of those people that stay in a game if it becomes unfun life is to short for me to do that to myself.
if you don’t like the game why don’t you just leave? If you like the game why aren’t you playing it right now?
It’s simple folks.
First, you said that welll and all I could do is sigh and agree because that’s the real deal and I even wonder if that will make a difference.
That a article in Polygon(they never say anything negative about Blizz!!!) said that Blizz felt, “because the Maw was polarizing”… Polarizing!!! Honestly not even the most loyal player still having any fun doesn’t like the Maw!
Point being I don’t think it matters anymore to them what we think or would like.
Customer service has tanked since I started mid MoP - incredibly bad. And even though I was one of the silent people that liked BFA whoever they did listen to because of all the unsubbing they over corrected or never fulfilled promises made i.e. no more endless chores , alt friendly… ect.
Anyway, best of luck finding something to fill in the something you were used to doing.
a lot of my friends list is split into two camps.
those that are angry that we were lied to that sylvanas wouldn’t be “garrosh’d” and is now a villain and raid boss when they said she was “morally grey” and that the twist would be interesting and to wait.
and those that realize that despite the fact they’re happy she’s a raid boss they know it’s most likely going to be an empty victory because they’ll probably find some way to try to “redeem” her so even if she dies the teldrassil thing is essentially spat on and not resolved properly because she would have sacrificed herself for the greater good.
essentially blizz angered every single friend i have with just one thing. a lot of people are to the point that they want to uninstall and quit blizzard games for good.
edit: look at my post history. i have knighted for blizzard over and over and over again. but at this point i have no clue how they’re gonna get themselves out of this one.
This is unfortunate but likely the course they will take. They already lost me, I’m unsubbed and waiting for my time to expire. I barely log in now, maybe to do the renown quests to keep that current then I’m out. The only two things I saw at blizzcon I’m kinda interested in are the fly mount for Necro and that hand mount that we don’t know how to get yet. Other than that, nada. Those two aren’t enough to get me to resub.
Learnt my lesson in Cata. Did the 6 month sub for a “free” copy of D3. I was young and naive back then. It was at the end of Cata, DS had been out for a bit, I was near the end of completing my rogue legendary daggers, so hell yeah, why wouldn’t I want to continue my sub AND get Diablo 3 for free? D3 just looked amazing!
Reality: It was going to be quite some time before wow had any new content coming out. They announced there would be no more content until MOP. Wrath and BC gave us a few small raids while we were previously in that sorta content slump - while not a big deal - they were after all, putting their focus on the upcoming expansion I pretty quickly wrapped up my legendary daggers and then realized I was done with Cata. I was then bored with the game and I would’ve unsubbed, but there was that whole “free” D3 I was getting…may as well not back out now, because I would then be paying EVEN MORE than the actual price of D3. IT just wasn’t worth it to unsub. Suddenly that $60 game became a $90. Then D3 came out in the state ti was at release which just put EVEN MORE salt on the wound.
Blizzard is a company with the purpose of making money, which nothing wrong with that, but moves like this aren’t made with the players in mind. I think it’s pretty scummy, but not scummy enough where I just boycott the company. If they can convince some people to stay on for a long period of time while there is no content by offering time spent designing one mount then it’s worth it it’s well worth it. Sure, at the end of some patches I can keep myself occupied for longer than others. but sometimes you run out of things to do.
If Blizzard really wanted you to be subbed for 6 months, they could give players actual 6 month’s worth of content.
This is why I don’t agree with pre-orders, or subbing for longer periods of time. Give me a reason to give you $15. This is why game ind is in such a lurch right now - they have no real need to put in the work.
All of this.
When I did the 6 month sub I thought it was going to be a real grind to get max level, and by the time I got there it was going to be near the first major content update.
Holy cow was I wrong. WoW Retail is literally you are max lvl within a 2 week time span. Never before have I ever seen in any MMO a literal sprint to the endgame. It’s like the Devs don’t even try and hide it anymore.
I did some time in Cata, I think. But I mainly played in BFA and SL. From what I’ve read about the previous expansions WoW appears to be in a perpetual state that revolves around Legion. The game hasn’t changed at all since Legion. It’s just slightly different systems that come in, but for the most part you’re playing M+, PvP, and Raiding simulator.
this is the mantra of someone who didn’t get their way.
what’s wrong with customer support? ![]()
ticket wait times are the lowest they’ve been since about Wrath.
various self-help options have been made available to players so we don’t need to wait days for a ticket to be answered.
GMs just take your issue and deal with it, instead of opening a chat while you’re in the middle of something which requires your attention.
…so what has changed with support which makes you think it’s bad?
My subscription terminates May 5th. I don’t have any high hopes I’ll be dazzled into sticking around beyond then.
I unsubbed today, sucks but oh well. They are just gonna double down on the decisions they have made. So obviously they dont care, so why should I? BYE
I have like two weeks, but best of luck to you OP, I know so many people are having fun in final fantasy, I’m personally spending my time in SWTOR / ESO is replacing my fantasy mmo slot.
