Dont complain about AV queue times

Took almost 3 hours yesterday to get enough badges for 1 turn in. 45 minutes to an hour per match of zero progress one way or the other due to horde just sitting on a choke point…making no moves towards Vann. Essentially turtle trolling for lulz.

Outside of last 2 days every game that was a turtle was forced upon by alliance. Horde change their strat to counter and get more honor. Now alliance is complaining? Maybe you shouldn’t of forced so many turtles lol. Only reason why the 6 minute period of games ended so quick is because alliance kept turtling lol.

You could always q the other bg

Currently most games are this:
Horde go mid, kill a few and get wiped
The people who die ghost walk to Relief hut
Horde lose anyways

Theres really not many good horde players this time around

alliance crying again? don’t they have enough easy-mode stuff?

AV is rather simple. If teams are equal:

Horde wins when both teams ignore each other

Alliance wins when they have 5-10 gamers harass people at north/south bunkers

Horde wins in an all out turtle

We COULD have peaceful quick games, but then a few alliance learn they can act like tools and disrupt horde, and horde learn that if alliance are disruptive, well, alliance can’t win if they never hold anything and force a turtle.

Winning and losing don’t matter, horde just think getting no honor is more fun for some reason

AV Queue times are fast. What is there to complain about

You must be unlucky. I’ve had very few AV matches that end in turtles.

Don’t participate in battlegrounds if you don’t want to deal with PvP.

No one is complaining about queue times.

pvp in this game is a joke, and AV is pve.

Basically.

When horde was trying this in TBCC, and some wrath…alliance countered by fighting. If you fight back, with some strategy you get wins. Granted its not in the speed run time of drek or kek. Its still points.

Break the turtle, back to burns and wins.

Alliance can also find out where the bots are. this is the weak link. Rogues and druids can sneak and give intel for that.

I had a wrath match horde tried turtle. shame they had lots of dk bots. We let them take a gy. the bot code ran from gy to a bunker. Eternally.

We killed the bots everytime this ran. By the time the actual not bot players saw this it was too late. We drained points since getting 10 kills to a schedule.

Bless your heart.

I haven’t seen any complaints about queue times

I remember back in Vanilla when Horde developed a tactic that stopped the Alliance from just mount zerging to Drek and ignoring all PvP and other battleground objectives for their standard auto-win. The Alliance player response was to boycott AV en masse across most servers because they didn’t want to be required to actually participate in PvP within the battleground. Even after Horde explained exactly how the strat worked including map screenshots with John Madden style circles and arrows showing how to potentially beat it with organized PvP activity. The Alliance response was basically “No, we just don’t want to PvP in PVP content so stop trying to fight us and just let us bypass all of your defenses for our quick auto-win, or we’ll continue to boycott the BG”

This post reminds me of that.

That wasn’t really the issue. The issue was the Horde cave being behind TP. This was an extremely unfair advantage as I’m sure you’re aware. Drink and a few other posters laid it out pretty well at the time.

As far as what the OP is referring to, I have no clue. The last few games I played where horde tried to force a turtle Alliance won - and with full honor.

The irony of this post is mind blowing. An alliance who stack mages and hunters on the bridge is really complaining about this.

Mind blown

And a paragraph on the back of of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against us

(Someone will get it, they may not admit it, but they will)

Vastly out balanced by the fact that Alliance could and still can entirely bypass the entire Frostwolf hold Defenses thanks to the idiotic snowbanks that let them jump the gates and go past the entire front defense force without even aggroing them. On the other side Horde has to literally clear the whole Stormpike Bunker defenses including both towers just to be able to group up to start pulling Marshals. And that’s after dealing with the “Bridge of Death”.

Any small geographical advantage the original starting position for Horde offered was dwarfed by the geographical design advantages the Alliance had and still has in the zone. The Horde starting position was never a “problem” for the Alliance worthy of boycotting until Horde started actually defending in an organized manner that forced the Alliance to have to PVP in the BG instead of PVE zerg rushing to Drek (which is still the Alliance strat for the BG to this day).

Edit: The boycots stopped after Horde just got fed up with not being able to get queue pops and stopped using the Galv Defense Strat in a sensible manner, and the Alliance was allowed to just run past again straight to Drek again.
