Shocking how a HORDE person doesn’t want changes
we need it
alliance is extremely underplayed in PVE/PVP, no showing in top raiding or PVP
must pugs are pubstomps with 220 horde vs ilvl 160 alliance

we are all forced to do stuff we dont want. i had to raid and lfr and m+ and quest and do tortureghast and maw stuff. still have to. thats just so i can be viable in pvp. and im sure its the other way around. no one escapes doing crap they dont wanna do
The thing which really annoyed me about BFA was what they did with gem sockets … especially because I hated sorry detested Visions and dragged myself through it to get sockets on my gear .
visions were the worst. im not sure toghast is any bettter. and blizz just doubled down on tortureghast. looks like its getting rammed down our throats so prepare for a vision-like experience in season 2
Well I don’t care what they do with Torgast … I will do the bare minimum . As long as they don’t put gear progression behind it , I will never go there .
I like it too and know many many people who do too.
hopefully this goes into action instead of only “they’re thinking about considering looking into it…sometime”
The point of an MMO isn’t to give full PvP advantage to the players with the best PvE gear, as was the case in BfA.
I think they’re trying to design a system that will sound good enough on paper that a lot of players will resub. But it will turn out that there are enough strings attached that it will be way less useful than people are hoping.
Sounds great.
Thats not how it worked. Gear had a base level, and was boosted to a higher ilvl in PvP. It didn’t lose ilvl in PvE, if a PvP item has a base ilvl of 220, its going to stay 220, its not going to get reduced below that in PvE. It may get boosted above that in PvP, but it doesn’t get reduced in PvE.
In WoD it was very clearly stated on the tooltip what an item would be boosted to in PvP. There was and is nothing hidden about it.
You understand that PvP gear doesn’t get scaled down, but only up in PvP, right? Your 226 gear will be 226 gear minimum in all content, but it may go up to a higher ilvl in PvP with WoD style scaling.
You are complaining about something that you don’t even understand. PvP gear doesn’t get scaled down in any content, just up in instanced PvP.
the problem with BFA is everything was centered one item. a neckpiece and then a cloak. They put systems on top of systems to combat broken systems. And thats what scaling is. Its a system to combat a broken system and pvp isnt broken. it just needs to be tuned. and thats what season 2 is about. thats how it was all through tbc to mists until templates and scaling F’d everything. so now we are back to the old way. which is super awesome. if they close the pvp ilvl gap even better. but the meta tuning needs to happen first i think.
So you got duelist in rbgs, the hands down easiest way to rank up. And now you’re crushing noobs out in the world and want to keep your new found advantage. Sound correct?
Edit: you can’t even hit 1600 in arena but still rock the duelist title. That’s cringy AF.
Yes, change it to WoD. That would be cool
It’s not a slippery slope. Call it what you want but WoD had it right.
As someone who raided and enjoyed battlegrounds, I can tell you, WoD had the most balanced gearing in the entire history of this game.
Can’t wait for the gearing change. Hopefully 9.1 brings us WoD gearing true to what it was.
So ez u couldn’t get it?
Haven’t bothered to try. I tell you what though, if I do bother with it won’t post on here how the system is working after I get my gear. And I certainly wouldn’t wear the duelist title when I’m 1400 in arena.
The old way is not what we have now…
Which is exactly what WoD gearing will do
They just have to bring it back exactly how it was in WoD imo. Rating locking gear is rly bad lmao. Plus, I can’t wait to see the meltdown of people who want gear advantages in PvP.
