Players responses were just players responses, hence thread.
But this is like, the MAIN thing. They need to start listening. They have said in the past, things to the effect of “we will work on communication” but that was just lip service. And at this point, people are well aware that it’s lip service. If you’re gonna talk about it, BE about it.
It’s why I have so much skepticism for this CC endeavor. I hope the efforts of the players on the CC are not wasted. That depends on if Blizzard will listen or not.

Blizz may even “listen” as in they hear the feedback. Without any communication about that feedback though players feel left out in the cold and ignored. Listening is an active participation thing - as in Blizz needs to say “we hear you” and tell us what they think.
A lot of changes that have gone into the game are a direct response to players, but they come so much later it feels like “too little too late”.
Even “not now, but we plan to address that in patch X” is going the right direction.
I hope if nothing else, the CC serves as a place for Blizz to acknowledge concerns and voice at least some explanations or goals for those concerns.
They have quite a few threads to consider replying to when they get back from vacation.

Letting the council go back out into GD to communicate with the players is nice. I see some of that doing it. This is good.
I guess we still need more of a response from Blizzard in the council board though right?

To be fair: No matter what they do, it is awful. The recent history (<5 years) is proof how much the rebel against their paying customers. Just think about it, which person would come up with such a badly executed idea of Mechagnomes having diapers or giving the Alliance a compromise race in form of the Void Elves?
And this kind of philosophy can be felt across the whole game. What we see here is the on-going backlash which resulted in the player base going to Final Fantasy 14. As far as I can tell, the grudge is simply based on how bad communications and the pride of the developers are. They shoveled their own grave here.

exactly many of the the 9.1 and 9.1.5 changes were due to that. Currently minus korthia is how SL should’ve felt at launch but they ignored beta feedback like usual. Add in the very long time between patches with no roadmap isnt helping

And they have learned nothing from it. The sudden Mage Tower buff before it launched on retail is just petty. And they will continue this path down until other MMOs have topped them.

they dont care about communication they care only for there bottom line and causing deceit and transparency in the playerbase theres videos on all this from the game directors themselves they have led this game down hill for years now and now that they had a mass exodus leaving there game now they want to act like they care not falling for any of that after the whole lawsuit and the problems with china incident why should anyone trust the council thing they implimented they dont even check there own forum from or the people who give feedback on the direction there game is going down and then make a unfinished product and expansions that are border line broken to the core no testing done no quality assurance just more lies ive watched for years now the direction this has gone down been playing since befor burning crusade and the devs back then sure nothing was perfect but its not the mess it is now and no wonder every single dev has started leaving after all this people have told them the issues the problems the bugs the glitchs now this community hand chosen because they dont want to deal with it well neither does anyone else times change time to change too maybe start with firing the ones working there and get people who know how to do there job right theres a reason for the mass exodus this aint the only game to have this new world just hit the same boat because of things like this maybe when the content creators start giving a damn then the rest will we all play this game i included up until a few months ago but after awhile it ended up being the same copy and paste content people get tired of the run around and me i got tired of posting problems that is borderline busted hearing the same that its working fine when it isnt and as for the white knights who feel like flaming you go right ahead i got plenty of feedback on any insult you wanna throw ive probably clocked more hours on this game then most so i aint gonna by fed a bunch of lies telling me this game is in a good spot and that all this trash they wanna keep appling in an unfinished broken state with feedback that gets ignored just to see how far there sub numbers go well it hit a all time low now i wonder why you think people gonna respect a company who has done nothing but alienate there community people eventually get tired of it including there own employees now want to take vacation time ya sounds about right to me put a forum council in place to do the reading for you im absolutely disgusted by all of it and im done with a company who wants to hold control over everyone as well thats a big part of alot of it just because your content creators doesnt mean your right in all of it that you can do thing in your own judgment as for the we hear you post they dont hear anything right down to the hong kong dispute or play nice play fair moto yah keep abusing woman workers with your cosby suite for Asfrasbi that you kept that prick hired for and then glorified him in your game there you go thats what i have too think about your game you as game developers and as what you considered right in your own terms even your human resources left aint that bad in itself just shows what your virtues are its not video games its manipulation right down too the players who supported you for years

IMO “reaching out” as you described it sounds like a great idea. I might have missed it, but where is a Council “overview”? I would love to read something describing how they are going to function, reach out, share what was learned, share what happened with the info - what will be implemented and what will not be, and why.

lol you can read it and if you think in the state this game is in your gonna gaslight then good luck your there to make entertainment not ignore feedback from people and gaslight them at every turn until you get the result this game has turned into i see with your 35000 ach points you must be one of those people who white knights the devs and think they do no wrong good luck on that.
Some of the Community Council are legitly trying to help the community with good recommendations. Other however have been seen trolling players on the very forums they are suppose to be positively contributing to the conversations and helping other players to do the same. Seen several of the Community Council go after their own agenda for their class or niche environment to be improved instead of being objective for balance and fairness of all.
December 2021. Let the corpses lie in their graves people.
