If your looking for a big horde realm might I suggest Area-52 or Illidan those are good ones lots of action going on there. I had a horde on Thrall and eventually went Area-52 way more action going on here.

Stop buying the collectors edition…

The problem with some of your statment is that it is completely false. What you paid (supposedly $230… but which currency?) is NOT the price of the expansion, so saying you paid “hundreds of dollars for this expansion” is a very inaccurate and misleading statement.

The 6 month sub is a sub so you cant count that becuase youre going to play WotLK now so that sub price has nothing to do with the cost of DF expansion. Same with the “mounts and stuff”, which again are all optional and again not related to DF price either.

Most you paid for this expansion is the epic edition price which is what, $90 USD? Unless youre not in the US like me, then if Canadian price its $115 but this edition also includes 30-days game time but we wont deduct that for arguments sake. Or did you buy the physical Collector’s Edition? Even then, it’s not “hundreds” of dollars but I don’t think you bought this edition if $230 includes the sub my guess is the Epic Edition at $90 plus 6 month sub plus “mounts and stuff”.

So $90 is not “hundreds of dollars” for this expansion as you claim.

As for this being a grind… WELCOME TO MMO’s! They’re all grinds and you think DF is less grind than WotLK? LOL ok then if you say so.

It’s fine if you dont like this expansion, everyone is entitled to like or dislike something, but your price claim is ridiculous, and calling this too grindy then going back to WotLK as if it’s also not grindy is another false statement. It is still grindy, but in a different way in some aspects but vanilla, tbc and wotlk are all grindy and mmo’s general will always be grindy.

Thinking of moving to Mal’ganis myself. High pop, Central time zone. Would Illidan ore Area-52 be better?

Area 52 is your best bet all kinds of stuff going on there raid groups pugs pvp questing everything also it’s very health in terms of the amount of folks on the realm. Area-52 for Horde to me is like comparing Storm rage for Alliance plenty of action.

This post is bad and you should feel bad

It’s an opinion! Someone has one! On the Internet!

Op is right about things being made complicated for the sake of being complicated. Less is more. The game could have gone without great vault or sparks or profession skill points this xpac and it would have been way better.

That said, DF is a good expansion, it’s just the gearing is unspecial and timegated, which is the opposite of what I want. Along with currencies that I’m just straight up ignoring, which feed into ignoring gear crafts entirely.

The sparks of ingenuity I delete on sight. It looks like some complicated timegated currency that goes nowhere.

You peeps who feel the need to post goodbye threads really ought to start a club.

Seems every name I’m considering is taken on Area-52, and it’s eastern time zone.

Hundreds of dollars? I must have bought a different Dragonflight then, because mine was only 49.99.

Anyway here is your attention you obviously want since you felt it necessary to announce your departure.

I think that’s a lot of it. I wonder if these people are friends with the same people they were when they began playing, go to the same restaurants, watch the same tv shows.

People move on, it’s ok to say you’ve outgrown a game sheesh.

Bye. No one will miss ya

Go away troll don’t waste minutes of our lives reading your nonsense just quit if you don’t like

that tells me he has not taken a break from the game after SL and now decided to waste more money than normal for the new expansion.

maybe if he would have taken that break maybe his view would have been different.

they do it’s call the “Good Bye Troll” club.

you see their members in threads like this one.

Sooo… What you’re describing sounds like Shadowlands. This does not feel like senseless grinding to me at all, in fact it feels like drastically less without constantly swapping legendaries all the time. Most of the grinding is for extra stuff like the renown. My biggest complaints are how dumb the proto drake heads look now with their beaks and goofy big teeth and the crafting system… I just want to buy gear from crafters not have to get rng lucky for the epic crafting ingredients to drop.

I will whole heartedly agree I really miss old flying. Dragon riding is fun, the racing is enjoyable to earn new cosmetics for your dragon but let’s say I am trying to get back to valdrakken from the Tuskaar cooking event, despite having all the flying points my dragon cannot stay in the air and maintain it when it’s a vertical climb for that long.

I think where they dropped the ball the hardest is having ALL the ilvl upgrades on pvp gear again. It’s the same crap we complained about before… The ilvl gap is too big. I sincerely miss just base sets and epic sets like in Wrath.

Bye? After Shadowlands, this feels like a breath of fresh air.

Respectfully, if you don’t like it, you shouldn’t be paying. There’s other games. FF14, GW2, Elder Scrolls Online, etc. This expansion, imo, is amazing. But that’s my thought. You’re more than welcome to have a different opinion, there are millions of games out there. Or try a different genre; Overwatch is fun and StarCraft is a classic. Or go city building with an indie game like TimberBorn. Then come back in 6 months after you’ve had some time. I do that fairly frequently anymore. I played Spiderman, TimberBorn, Age of Empires 2, and Breath of the Wild a lot during the Shadowlands expansion. Just play what you enjoy. No need to come here and complain. :person_shrugging:
