Please keep buying tokens… get the mount!! It’s making tokens very cheap so i don’t have to get as much gold to keep playing and it makes it easier to get more battle.net balance using gold.

Retail WoW is basically funded by whales at this point. Game is F2P with microtransactions.
I dunno, there’s a ton of stuff I’d rather spend $800 on… say like some nice computer parts or even something a bit crazy like a 3D printer. Just about anything else you can spend that much money on has more objective value.
Doesn’t make good sense to me, but whatever.

You clearly have no idea how the token system works then.
Blizzard does not control the price. It is controlled by the players. As the supply of tokens goes up, the gold cost goes down so that more people buy the tokens from the AH. When the supply goes down, the gold cost increases as the supply is lower and thus ‘more valuable’.
Sounds like you’re looking for some ‘evil corporation conspiracy’ where none exists.

I’ve bought a few tokens over the last few weeks to supplement my gold farming. With the quarantine happening my gym has been closed and they’ve not been charging me, as they just froze everyone’s memberships. So I figure with the money I’m saving there I may as well put it towards my other hobby.
This still isn’t going well for me though. God damn 5 million is a lot!

When the Shadowlands prepatch launches the brutosaur will no longer be available from its vendor. It will only be available when it occasionally appears on the black market auction house.

I’d put down 50 if I could buy from the shop. No more than that. I havent spent any of the 1200. I still work, but unemployment pays about 900 a week so lots of people have easy money they are willing to spend.
This isn’t actually a good thing. Game companies know how to milk the addiction response from gamers. That’s why loot boxes started becoming more of a thing, and you can see signs of this in WoW but a lot of players have been vocal about being against this.
I totally AGREE, something ABOUT all this is WEIRD!
