If you check the video I linked above there’s a different boot time just between the hero and the strix and this is even on the new x870

So I would imagine things to be pretty similar with the x670. I can tell you one thing I started out on the x670 strix Gaming-F. I didn’t keep that motherboard cuz it didn’t have a Q code reader I thought I could live without one but I was wrong.

It had a 28 second boot time when I moved to the strix Gaming-E the boot time went down to 18 seconds.

Mine does the same thing. It only flickers for a split second though I’ve learned to just look away I think it’s actually an Nvidia thing I noticed it happened on my 4000 series but not my 3000 series

I’m using an LG C2 as my monitor

i used to be more of a Gigabyte guy in the past but mostly by chance and the deals I was able to get, most of my newer motherboards are all MSI and I have been satisfied with them.

I’ve worked on some ASUS when helping my BIL and cousins set up their systems and they’ve been okay, but I don’t know if the premium is worth it

LG Ultragears here, and 4070 Super

seems to be a significant improvement in design. i’m excited for the benchmarks

MSI is my second go to. If strix completely changed their design and I stopped liking their products MSI would be who I would go with next. The only reason I have stuck with strix series for so long is the Aesthetics and I’m just overly familiar with that bios

I do like MSI’s newer bios slightly better. Asrock still has the worst bios I’ve ever seen. Out of everyone I think MSI is one of the best bios now days. Like I said I’m just more familiar with Asus

The MSI x870e Carbon Wifi is literally one of the most insane motherboards I have seen connectivity wise. USB 4.0 for days

Ive use Giga, Asus, and Currently MSI all within the last few years. It’s been a while for a build with Asrock but you would think a company spun off by Asus and then brought back under the Asus umbrella would have better BIOS.

I mean it’s incredibly functional but it’s also very dated. Trying to get anything done and navigating through it? it’s like doing so on a 1998 system.

I run a 24/7 PC and long boot times were an issue, like, 7+ BIOS updates ago. Fine nowadays on my board, and the issue was fixed before I even rebuilt my PC.

yeah, i have an ASRock Z370 Extreme 4

Compared with 2 other Gigabyte boards from the same gen, their BIOS looks like HP OEM lmao

I went from a 10900k to a 7800X3d and the in game improvement was massive. I improved my frame rate in the hardest places to run wow by 30-50%. Valdraken would run 45-70fps at peak hours, and when I upgraded I went up to 90-160fps.

My 10900k was a really hot running cpu too. Even under an AIO, it would sit around 75-83c. The 7800x3d under the same circumstances and with the same size aio never gets hotter than the mid to high 60s.

the thing to remember is that 10th gen is skylake still, essentially. So you’re looking at 2015 era architecture, just refined.

That is definitely one heck of an upgrade.
