World bosses are clicking on a join grp and going through your rotation for a few minutes. They are glorified elites.
Show me where I didnât.
I really think youâre just forgetting what other expansions were like at the startâŚ
I posted numbers and facts in the OP.
16 dungeons in TBC but a good chunk of them were just copy/paste hallways with different mobs thrown in. Not sure thatâs a great comparison to make. But I do agree that 8 dungeons seems low with M+. Hopefully the plan on adding more in content patches.
I mean, Gruuls Lair wasnât rocket science and really neither was Mags. Mags had the cool âclick the cube at the same timeâ mechanic, but I imagine folks could do this with a World Boss if they do so.
Were you here for Withered Jâim? Because that boss made folks crazyâŚalso the Isle of Thunder Dino that I canât remember the name of right now. Like youâre discounting the bosses when they do have deadly mechanics and folks do wipe on World Bosses.
The World Bosses are located in areas with Elites and the World Bosses have simple raid mechanics but can still be punishing to folks ignoring them. They fit the criteria for mini raids if ya ask me.
The expansion was well into its development cycle by the time Covid would have impacted them. If they were impacted significantly, it was starting in March, with an originally planned October release, and theyâve likely been working on this heavily since BfA launched if not before. Itâs also a tech company, working from home wouldnât have been the kind of adjustment it has been for some other workplaces.
Covidâs impact was the delayed release. Thatâs it.
You are grasping at straws if you are bringing up what are essentially just elite world quests as noteworthy content. I canât remember ever wiping on a world boss in SL or BFA.
Iâd say they are more comparable to Durn the Hungerer or something. Just easier and with more people and an auto-queue.
You mention only 8 dungeons, but state legion ALSO only had 8, oh but more were added later but you think that wont happen. dishonest comment.
Leveling questing, and storylines shorter than before. For an expansion where one main selling point was revamping leveling and aiming for a more streamlined experience. Dishonest comment.
Fewer WQ than before. When design choices have added in more daily quests. dishonest comment.
saying covenants provide little additional comment is not a comparison to other expansions because youâre not comparing it to anything. you have to mention what was before. dishonest comment.
only 1 raid, and stating that is the norm. WHY even have this on your list.
Random stuff, which implies on its own that its something that doesnât really fit, isnt in the game, your own phrasing of the point, says why its gone. dishonest comment.
Same nps models reused. Maybe this is ignorance, but all games reuse npc models. To expect unique models everywhere is crazy. Its possibl you mean there is too much repetition, and that can be a fair comment. But here im hoping you are not ignorant⌠so its a dishonest comment.
No. You are being stubborn with the concept that mini raids have shifted to outdoor content. Especially since you are regarding the World Bosses as patchwork elites.
We will probably have to agree to disagree on this, but of the mini raids Iâve participated in (BC & I guess WotLK WG raid) the world bosses are just as simple as them.
-
It is highly unlikely we will get 4 more dungeons. Legion got 2 more almost right away. It wonât take long to make that comparison more satisfactory for you and considering they arenât even fixing typos and bugs atm, I think the comparison wonât swing your way.
-
I would call your comment dishonest. Since when was increased scaling in old content a selling point of the expansion? You donât even need to buy the expansion to do it.
-
In the maw which doesnât have WQs. And there are fewer dailies than Suramar had WQs.
-
We can compare it to Order Halls and Garrisons, for example. Order Halls didnât really have that much, but there were 12 of them, not 4.
-
Because this is something they have been skimping on for a while. But earlier expansions did not.
-
Random does not imply that it âdoesnât fit.â Dishonest comment.
-
They are far more similar in SL than previous NPC models were. Dishonest comment.
I mean I âkilledâ a world boss yesterday by just tagging it and then completing a different world quest in the same area while everyone else killed it.
Pretty much, and thank god we donât have mini raids locked behind PvP anymore like Wintergrasp.
When you look at most of the 1 to 2 boss mini raids in WoW most of them were entry level and werenât to difficult aside from maybe needing a mage tank in Grulâs Lair.
Which come time TBC Magtheridons Lair and Grulâs Lair will probably take as long to clear as Onyxia in classic. Which in a nutshell is you spend more time getting all raid members there than you do fighting the bosses.
I mean not to different from Onyxia in Classic, my guilds best kill time is 2 mins 30 secs. We spend 10 mins summoning and getting everyone there.
The world boss up right now in Bastion takes like 2 mins to kill as well.
I mean, maybe it was just my group back in BC, but I imagine a lot of guilds had that âdead weightâ raider that was justâŚthereâŚ
Kind of the same concept really.
I am still not sure why you are so obsessed with comparing elite world quests from SL to content that I didnât even deem significant enough to consider.
Iâm kind of glad for this. Look at the rest of the world that is barely touched, beyond transmogs these days. Iâm of the opinion that the entire world should be included in new expansions, in some way. Weâre in afterlife, Iâm cool with it not expanding into infinity as it should canonically.
I miss this as well, but most modern retail players apparently donât even care, because âLeVelinG iS TeDiouSâ.
Incorrect; Covenants provide a good amount of content. Work on your Renown. Every so often, the number of quests increase, as do the strength of items and amount of anima provisions. Iâm positive itâs the same for the other covenants.
Also, as a Venthyr, and I have an anima channeler that costs like 25 anima to use. It opens up special quests in certain parts of Revendreth. Right now, itâs either a rare bat that drops a mount and conduits, or a special treasure. After ten uses, I can make it permanent for that part of the map. Iâm guess the other covenants have something thatâs roughly similar.
What? Itâs not just WoW. Have you JUST started gaming or something? Because itâs been like this, since like nineteen seventy always.
-
Youâre literally trying to make comparisons on something that hasnât happened. Just stop, it has 8 dungeons like a few others at this time.
-
I never commented on scaling in old content. Trying to shoehorn in a complaint?
-
thats a more fair comparison. But people also hated Suramar. widely complimented for the story, and despised for everything else.
-
Actually a comparison. I dont see how saying how orderhalls were empty, but more of them somehow is a positive.
-
earlier expansions when, from the last 3 expansions? no? this is still being dishonest.
-
if you keep insisting on using random, then yes it does. perhaps you mean âfun extra thingsâ. If you said that, its fair. But random in context does mean doesnât fit.
-
Iâm actually not sure on what you want with this point. Can you provide an example?
Im very unhappy with this expansion but there will certainly be more dungeons. Just like BFA. Shadowlands is BFA 2.0.
Did every Kulâtiran or Pandaren have the exact same hair, skin tone, and outfit?
Some of the NPC models this time around donât even have faces. lol. Just wear the same helmet.
