The entire absurd story line is best forgotten.

Which actions specifically? The horde as a faction? no, never. the horde players? like alliance players we’re along for the ride, no blame there. but I would absolutely agree that the writing team is awful.

If Sylvanas splinters off she might make her own faction that the Alliance and Horde could fight against. Right now it seems the Horde Player Base is split 50/50 when it comes to liking Sylvans.

There’s no point in blaming the Horde or the Alliance.
The writers’ grotesque inability to write a coherent story of any meaning, coupled with their utter loathing of the playerbase and total unwillingness to write a story that isn’t about the Adventures of Sylvanas and Self-Insert Man, are what can’t be absolved.
The war doesn’t matter. The Horde doesn’t matter. The story doesn’t matter. The game doesn’t matter.

In a world where Grommash Hellscream was given a free pass because he yelled that Draenor was free at the end of HFC, yeah, I think the Horde will be fine.

I wouldn’t say anyone is really “absolved” of their actions, be it Horde or Alliance, just that at some point we either get over it, or hold onto the grudge until we do something stupid… again. Don’t forget the past, learn from it, forgetting it wont make it go away.

Admittedly it will probably result in a cessation of the overall war effort, but hostilities will (and should) remain. The orcs, trolls, goblins etc. were absolutely complicit in the war effort. Sylvanas burned the tree, but the other races were more than willing to use that opportunity to invade places like Stormsong and Stromgarde.
The Night Elves especially better not give up the fight. Hopefully this will be the reason for future aggression between the factions, both in instanced and world PVP, even in the face of larger threats like N’Zoth.

Probably not, but I think Taran Zhu put it the best. The problem with the factions is every act of aggression demands immediate retaliation. It’s an endless back and forth. To actually stop it both sides just need to let the past go and walk away.
They don’t exactly have to forgive the Horde, but we can try different solutions besides fighting each other. Learn from mistakes and don’t repeat them is the key.
