Does the Horde have its own Mage Organization?

Yeah, I totally agree that it was a bull :poop: reason they gave instead of just admitting they’re too lazy or unwilling to do certain things. They’d rather blame the players instead of themselves.

I think I still have a character running around with the eye on it’s head as I never did the quest to get rid of it.

I always assumed the magistrate and Sunreavers were meant to be Horde’s equivalent… but that’s just me. Especially when you consider the High Elves turned Blood Elves were the ones to teach Humans magic in-universe.

It shouldn’t be. There’s basically two misconceptions going on in this thread. First, in Azeroth, elves have never had a greater capacity or talent for magic than humanity (or any other race - they do have much greater susceptibility to its side effects, but that isn’t the same thing). Human mages have always been every bit as powerful as elven ones. The most powerful mages ever, the Guardians, were all human. For another example, look at Jaina, who is probably the second most powerful mage on Azeroth after Khadgar (maybe third, its hard to say how much of Azshara’s power is magecraft).

Following from that, Dalaran was the kingdom of the mages. It was a human kingdom but many elves lived there, studying and teaching in its schools. The idea that High / Blood Elves would be too proud to be part of the Kirin Tor doesn’t work because they have been part of the Kirin Tor for as long as Blizzard has written about them.

The Silver Covenant didn’t just come out of nowhere, guys.

Yes.

We call it the Mud and Sticks Organization.

The Magisters are one of the oldest magical based organisations still standing on Azeroth. They are the ones that taught the humans, and thus Kirin Tor, magic to begin with.

Rommath even mentioned how the Kirin Tor historical kept coming to them for assistance and advice (like when their magic kept alluring demons).

With the Arcanists of Suramar now aligned with them, the Horde would have the most powerful magical authorities.

It’s just that…WoW writers love their Dalaran and Khadgar so…yeah…

The Horde has a race which is made out of arcane and masters of it. Something which the Alliance highelf/highborne wannabes, will never be able to become. The Nightborne.
