I like all of the arathi sets, and hope to acquire them all over time for every armor type.

The mail set looks half finished. It’s missing the gold highlights of the cloth and plate sets.

Boy I hope. It gets brought up a fair bit on the hunter forums as well. If they gave SV hunters DW back, I’d be thrilled.

I mean it looks like it was the second option for plate, and rather than give us a dedicated mail option, they made two plates and gave us one. No one disputes that its good.

It needs to be more svelt for the mail wearers.

That tracks. Plate and Cloth are vying for best. Leather is easily the worst.

Honestly it looks like a good “rugged” armor set

Possible survival cuz it looks like a nice mix of heavy mail/plate combined with leather so it’s a mix of protection and mobility

I dunno. I like the occasional lean into the more sturdy mail armor. It doesn’t suit shaman or evoker thematically, I’ll grant you. But enhancement and survival are melee fighters first and foremost. So it’s good for them to have protection.

I also think it’s just cool when archers are well armoured. Like the undead archers up on the walls of lordaeron in the BFA cinematic. Wearing armor which later became the horde darkshore warfront set. I love that set. A nimble ranger darting swiftly through the forest isn’t the only kind of fantasy archer.

Sure but for an archer (and this is where my major objection comes from) youre going to want sight lines. Especially if theyre not planning to be in melee range (like on a rampart). So the helm seems wrong.

Enhancement, ok sure. I still feel like its off-theme. But for hunters, eh, im not buying it.

I love the set in general (minus the ugly helmet), not sure about the white version. It reminds me of like a Van Helsing type of character with either a gun or crossbow, engineering and alchemy. Well, at least it did at the start of TWW when hunters didn’t have to be tied to some stupid animal theme before the MM changes.

I don’t understand that one at all. It looks like a Starwars Sand People old timey pilot.

I thought the MM changes were a sort of mystical bird rather than a real one.

Well I am still regarding as perfect for survival rather than the other two. Like I said, they even strapped their bombs to the belt! I was just sharing my general fondness for the idea of sturdy armor for archers. Not necessarily this particular sturdy armor.

That said, I still think it works fine in the context of a rugged, on the ground adventurer hunter like our characters. Where you’re still getting relatively close to your quarry and precise aiming isn’t a big issue. But hey you can always mog out the helm if it spoils the sniper fantasy for you. The rest of the set still looks rad.

Ive been meaning to make a survival hunter. Maybe ill try it. Now i just need a race…

I kind of go with a theme, so with my NE hunter I went out and tamed All the animals you normally see with the NE race. Like the different types of felines, hippogryph, owls, and stags.

For my Orc, just went straight for all the varies wolf species.
