Im talking about random battlegrounds. I have a group of 3-4 great friends who aren’t very good at pvp at all. When we queue BGs, it seems like we’re queueing into other groups of players playing together as well. It makes the BG seem 100x more difficult as the other teams are usually coordinated and good players farming honor. I did various solo and group q ueue last week and in group queue, the other team is extremely organized almosdt to the point where it feels like an rbg.
I just want to know if im not crazy and am actually being matched against other groups
Yes, matchmaking attempts to pit groups against other groups. This can’t always happen however, so you’ll also get matched against pugs when there aren’t enough groups queueing on the opposite faction.

110 is a nice preview of what you’re in for from 111-119. gear your toon or expect more of the same.
It tries but that isn’t always the case. Premades are a great way of playing with your friends, but understand that most premades queueing into casual PVP content aren’t doing what you are. A lot of the premade groups you’ll face queueing as a premade yourself are built purpose made to stomp, and not just queue up with friends for chill games, even though that’s what they’re doing. If you aren’t that, it’s gonna be a paddlin’.
I just got roflstomped by a premade of 5 mythic raiders. 4 DH’s with 650k hp, and a hpal with 600k. Toxic doesn’t begin to describe being on the receiving end of that, but it’s allowed and it’s tough to balance against it. There is 0 chance in heck of a PUG contending with that though, and that’s why they do it. Fair play to them, I guess.
They aren’t there to prove to randoms how good they are, and they certainly aren’t there to fight other premades. They just want to stomp people who stand no chance and get some honor for it.
