…Running in leveling dungeons seeing that level 12 characters are annihilating everything in site?
Yeah, gets the run done faster but seriously makes the entire point of advancing kinda pointless when the numbers are THIS horrible.
its impossible to guage my own performance in a group when Im running level 59 and most of my gear enchanted, finding the best pieces i can to get the best numbers…then have no clue how it would compare to say someone with a comparable character/ilvl/gear set up.
I usually dont bother with practice dummies, they seem nearly pointless except for single target and dont really simulate the action in dungeon combat where Im having to move and bounce around.
yeah, I know…I can just roll a character and run it at level 13 or whatever, but its not about getting high DPS for giggles, its about knowing how I compare to EQUALLY powered players so I know if Im dead weight or not.
And the thought of cheapening the whole thing by taking advantage of the numbers problem in lower content isnt exactly meaningful to me.
Do they ever intend on getting low level content even close to ‘fixed’ or is this how its gonna be for the rest of WoWs life?
This is what has prevented me from leveling new characters. I had started working on the allied races I hadn’t finished yet, but it is so undertuned that I just bored with mobs dying from one or two hits and stopped.
I didn’t like the few times I was leveling Allied Races for the achievements and heritage armor (only to delete the characters afterwords) when a level ten, locked experience, Monk twink was just one-shotting almost everything in a dungeon; took away some of the point of running the content. I haven’t leveled a character since Dragonflight launched.
I love leveling characters personally. And Im sincerely not trying to compete…I didnt have details installed at all for over a year.
I just got curious to know if Im dead weight…ie not playing well enough and wanted to see if Im keeping up with the groups DPS.
Yeah…I can. But Im noticing if there is a lowbie in the group or three, they are seriously jamming up the board so I cant tell how MY performance is in the overall scheme of things.
I mean, we literally just mowed down the last dungeon without breaking a sweat, but I kinda wish it was a little more threatening
And with level 12-25 or so in the run, its like ALL of the threat of the dungeon is entirely removed.
I ran with a group the other day where we were all over level 50 and it was just barely enough where you had to wonder if you were gonna hit zero health or not.
I actually prefer that, to be honest.
I just wish this was fixed because I LOVE classic dungeons
For the most part, I haven’t done any low level content in quite some time other than a mechagnome hunter that I got to level 26 in DF because I was bored at the end of S2.
So this is a legitimate question for those that tend to do it more than I do. Do people really care about meters and things in low level dungeons? I guess it could be more about performance and how well you’re playing and stuff does die too quickly to really test out rotations or whatever.
Personally I’ve just done all of the lower content so many times at this point that I don’t really mind if stockades is completed in 5 minutes because people are nuking it. If I want something slower paced, I can do some questing. I don’t really worry about perfecting things at low level because you still lack half of the tools you will have at end game.
Could the scaling be tuned, sure. I think things might have gone too far in the faceroll direction. It’s kind of like timewalking where mechanics don’t really matter outside of a specific thing or two. Am I that worried about it? Not really, because I’d like to get to the newer content faster than doing having more to do in my billionth run of Scholomance.
they desperately need to retune leveling dungeons and make leveling actually fun.
im not even sure if its balanced, i would be smiting stuff and doing more dmg than a dps lol.
just the whole experience is super bad. they can fix it w/ remixes if mops any good.
As it queues it tries to only grab players in your bracket, if that takes too long, then it starts looking for players in a bracket next to yours, then expands out further as needed.
This would help keep the groups a bit more balanced, so you don’t have the level 10 who can two shot things by spamming his one dps ability with the level 54 who has to go through most of their rotation to do the same.
