Do you do the assaults?

Bro I installed BFA last week and have 3 characters over 400 ilvl including leveling time. Stop complaining and go do Nazjatar for a few hours, one dusk scenario, and cap your conquest a single time. Youā€™ll be 400.

Okay so looking at your Achievements/History in PVE/PVP Jugaa. You are the very definition of a Casual player. You have no impressive raid achievements of any kind, Or even ā€œslightā€ impressive such as AOTCā€™s. You have never killed a Mythic boss at content. You have over 300 wins in RBGs yet your highest rating ever achieved is 1800. You have no history in M+. Your extent to Arenas is 1750, your character never has even been above 1800 in Arenas other than 5s which no one took seriously.

You want to talk about the different forms of the game, And who is casual and who is not, as well as ā€œwhen the game became casual and spoil peopleā€ Yet you are the glaring definition of a Casual player. You do not partake in any form of high end content, not even close. You have over 600k HKs and yet your opinion on PVP is that gear should stay RNG and not be locked behind actual Skill walls? Why? Because you couldnā€™t obtain it then?

Also on your comment of PVE canā€™t pick gear. Yes i can. as was stated by someone else previously.

I can run +15s and Target the exact 3 Azerite pieces at 440 (And actually BUY them directly) i want on my Rogue. I also can target gear that i want from raids/M+ By class stacking and removing the ā€œchanceā€ feature almost entirely.
These are things Mythic raiders such as Limit/Method have done to easily obtain the gear they want and to remove some of the RNG of loot.

Now lets go back to pre-personal loot PVE. Raiders WANT to work towards gear upgrades until they are done with content. It is by nature the exact style of play you do/want because the entire point of Raiding is to overcome a Static fight, and eventually clear it with ease which usually comes with gear/practice.

Now in PVP? This isnā€™t the case we do NOT want RNG gear. Because we dont want RNG of ā€œOH look home boy has more gear than me, guess im probably going to die/loseā€

So please until you actually know the subject. Stop talking.

Correct, so if anything, I should be up in arms. Iā€™m so casual yet still 410 and killing it in randoms :kissing_heart:

No Jugaa, That means you have no right to derail anyone elses opinions on the matter. Because you arenā€™t a Competitive player, So to you Gear doesnā€™t matter at allā€¦ But to Competitive PVP players, Gear matters a ton, therefor they want to actually be able to do what they want to do (PVP) to get gear for what they want to do (PVP) Forcing them to PVE to do PVP makes a ton of players NOT want to play at all. The communities are not the same, Forcing them to intermingle is not a good idea.

The way Blizz ā€œForcesā€ PVE players to pvp, is to do VERY MINOR AND MINISCULE amount of PVP to PVE (Legendary Cloak, Conflict/Strife Essence). Meanwhile for PVP players they force you to do MAJOR and A TON amount of PVE to be able to PVP? That seems far from fair.

MAJOR and A TON? Nahhh

In order to be competitive in PVP you HAVE to M+ or Mythic Raid. So Yes. Major and a Ton. Again YOU donā€™t do competitive content. So your opinion on what you do/dont have to do is irrelevant.

Iā€™ve been told M+ is about 20 minutes a week. Doesnā€™t sound like a ton to me.

I remember back when all you had to do to get some nice PvP gear was actual PvPā€¦seems almost surreal nowadays.

2 shot no, but dying within one global yeah

Scaling is weird and they change it slightly every patch or hot fixes. Stealth changes but you can notice slight changes.

Primary stats is somewhat nerf over secondaryā€™s stats.
Example:int/str/agi (primary)
Mastery/Vera/haste/crit(second)

Gems and special stats do not scale or slightly. Depends on lvl.

Ilvl scaling: is tricky depends on lvl
As a lvl 120 ilvl 430 scales to 390ilvl
or a lvl 120 ilvl 390 to 340
Lvl 120 with below 340 scales to 240 ilvl

Can lvl 110 kill you? Yes and no.
A lvl 110 ilvl 271 possibly scales to about 340 to 390 ilvl to 120. Now a 110 with neck can get to ilvl 285 ilvl unknown what it would be like.

What else can hurt your scaling is higher ilvl in bag or bank. Meaning you should be blah but your 10 ilvl below ur highest.

Also, even though you scale depending on your neck lvl how many traits are unlocked and types of traits. As well additional benefits from neck at lvl 55 neck.
So even if a 110 scales to you as a 120 you will have an advantage due 3 additional traits as well as neck abilities.

Even 110 scales if ppl are legion locked.
Top to bottom just kinda like 120s
4 tiers
I donā€™t know each ilvl but scaling seems to happen around certain hp on dps/healers
Possibly 4 tiers type scaling is happening at 120 as well.
50k hp top tier
31k to 40k hp advanced
20k to 30k
Below 20k lowest scaling. Weakest you can be in a 110 bracket.

Itā€™s just a theory though

Wellā€¦ Seeing some players with 340,000 Health and then seeing some others with 197,000 Healthā€¦
Yes, Gear matters.

Itā€™s not really that secondaries are strong; itā€™s that secondaries on gear donā€™t increase much with ilvl.

Well, damage is scaled between the two so itā€™s not as big a deal as it seems.

I understand that is what is being said, but, if some of the Crits I have been hit with are scaled backā€¦ Those damage numbers would be extremely massive otherwize.
Iā€™m not convinced that scaling is working as it was hoped.

Yea, this is a massive damage season.
