Does blizzard wants us to just raid-log?

We already had this, it was called Titanforging. Everything we have now is a replacement, it is the over engineered Panther Tank of WoW. You know about the Panther from WW2 right? It was a technical marvel that left people in awe but was so over engineered it would break down under it’s own chasis and the crew would just leave that junk the moment they heard an off sounding noise or smelled smoke.

Don’t see what’s wrong with this. Still one of the best entertainment values out there.

Good thing there is still 20+ weeks of progression left.

I’m 615 and working on aotc before mythic.

Highest key is an 8.

Likely start mythic and +9/+10 in the next week or two.

Not feeling rushed at all.

raid-logging is a very good play loop.

dont worry . no rush, its just you wont get invited. atm the are so many people over there with esseentially maxeed out heroic gear that cant upgrade further due to lack of crests. what makes you think its a rush issue ?

most people that are hard stuck in a 10 or 11 wont see 12 anytime soon. that makes the pool of available people joining a key so big that naturally the undergeared and underscoreed will be left out without any means of progression.

Well that’s not true.

Actually it does…I’m in a community that level locks characters to each expansion and still do things like progression raiding in legion on our lvl 42s for instance. We did Nighthold heroic last week with 20 ppl and didn’t clear it. Just b/c 95 % of the population plays latest expansion doesn’t mean the rest of the game is useless.

There is this alleged super massive group of 616-619s all in the same situation and yet none of them can find or group with each other.

For people who want to pay for multiple top priced games and only play any of them a couple of hours a week, that’s a legitimate choice. However, the basic principle behind MMO’s is that their potential audience is small in comparison to other genres. They have traditionally strived (striven?) to keep their audiences busy playing the game, having fun so they want to keep playing, and addicted to the dopamine hit. So they don’t go elsewhere and find a forever game they like better and quit. It’s a big loss if a lot of players decide to try other games and find some they like better. If blizzard were to make this game a raid or die game where raiders were incredibly happy but everyone else quit, the game would die. There wouldn’t be enough paying customers to support development of the expensive content required to keep those raiders happy.

So successful MMO’s make their money by catering to multiple player demographics, which results in a larger player population. Those who don’t want to do that, who want only a narrow demographic would be less successful than they would have otherwise.

And yet, it’s a basic business principle that when a big business has no competition, they can ignore product development and improvement. The company ends up being run by marketing people, who have no interest in spending money on product frills to attract new customers. They believe have no need to waste money on quality, when their customers will continue to buy their product whether it works well or badly.

You didn’t explain anything besides common sense on how a business makes the most money.

They introduced Delves for people who don’t actually want to get better at the game but keep getting gear like they are good players.

Problems solved.

Dude, i usually don’t have any problems with the people of this forum, nor do i like to insult them, but this only shows how unbearable you are as a person.

There’s thousands of posts about wanting better gear at lower difficulties. It has nothing to do with me. I’m just not sugar coating it. That’s all it is. This whole change affects me, it affects you, it affects the top 1%

Only difference is, people are willing to put in the work. Others are not, and would rather come to the forums and asked for things to be made easier for them because they have not the skill to break over that wall.

And that’s fine. That’s why there’s different levels of different difficulties. Find what you enjoy and go for it.

Yes.

Blizzard thinks the only way people play video games, and the only style they will support, is 4 hours a week.

If you arent a 4 hours per week player than WoW aint for you.

Which I have no interest in. So I feel basically “done” with season 1. Time to take a 5 month break lol

grizzle, i understand, but no one will take you seriously speaking like that.

They’re so close to fixing their game, yet so far away. They just can’t bring themselves to capping gear progression below an infinitesimally small demographic of try hards. And save that content for transmogs and titles.

Plenty of people share my sentiment about entitled folks wnd voice their opinion as such. Im not here to make people feel special or validate their feelings.

Im just here to tell it as it is.

It’s weird how people have equated having the highest gear with having the most fun. Must be a younger millennial/gen-z thing.
