Of course, fascist dictatorships are well known for tolerance and respect for the peoples’ rights.
They are going through a Chinese publisher and they need to profit off the subs, not just Blizz alone. If people unsub because they don’t feel 1 hr a day is worth their money? That publisher will alter their agreement with Blizzard to reduce their financial losses. That may mean Blizz has more losses.
For example, I’m not sure if Blizzard alone does the localization for China so the govt accepts, or if the publisher accepts some or all of that financial burden. If it is split and there are sub losses due to China’s new regulation? Or if the publisher reviews the latest expansion and the number of changes required increases so much that the publisher wants to pay less or retain more money from China’s subs? Then Blizz may not see it as worth the effort financially.
Oh, I forgot about that.
