I know that this is a silly question to ask but i got in a little argument with a guild mate over something dumb, ended up blocking that guild mates bnet and she left my guild, i tried to whisper her toon name but i seen she blocked me as well, I dunno why but i was thinking when you block someone over battle net you can easily unblock them back just as how the friend list functions in the game, am i just too blind as a bat to see where it might be or does the battle net client not have an unblocking feautre similar as to the in game one, hmmm…
( and for anyone asking why do i wana unblock after blocking is because i realised i made a childish mistake and trying to fix the issue in hope that if i unblock her bnet i can easily see her back on my battle net friends list)
or does it not work like that… I mean i still have her battle tag ID, do i just have to re add her and pray to the gods that she accepts my bnet back???
short answer, yes it’s possible to bnet block a person. Long answer: it’s hard to tell if you’ve been blocked or if they deleted account, as, short of creating a secondary account and friend requesting that person by account#number, you’re completely in the dark on which direction they went.
well if that person tried to reply to me and no chats went through i would assume that they know they’ve been blocked right???
anyways since i blocked that user, i wanted to know what do i gotta do to unblock?
i guess i was hoping that you were able to unblock because what if you wanetd to re add that person back to your bnet list???
are you telling me because i blocked her that there is no way to unblock and that i can’t ever add her back onto my battle net friend list again???
I just checked the block feature, apparently the only way to unblock someone is if you readd them. In order to do that, though, go to your settings and view your block list, remove them from there.
(edit: Tested this with my alternative account, so that there’d be no big loss, if there was no way to readd)
Your best bet is to try and have someone else whisper that person and tell them what to say so she would give you another chance.
where did you go to view the block list? i am at settigns and don’t even see it say block list
Cogwheel Icon, Friends&Chat settings. Big blue button near bottom says “block list”

Ok i found it, so after i unblock tho, when you tested it on your other account, we’re you able to see the blocked person back added to your friend list once unblock?
Or do you have to readd their battle tag ID once you unblocked it?
Second option. When you block a bnet user, they auto delete from friends list. So, if they didn’t block you as well, then the friend request should go through as normal.

I got halfway done with your post before deleting. Basically, if you get the response: No battle ID match (no user of that name or some variant) then you’ll have an answer.

Ok yea i was jw how the process worked, because i wanetd to try to unblock her when things got cool and i feel if i do it now it will seem to weird, but ok yea ty i am just hoping its not too late and that she didnt block me back cause i was asking like if i try to add a day later after unblocking how will i know if they blocked me or not once after i attempted to try to add
hey, it wont let me post again on my hunter, i had another silly question, i want to in game her on an alt but i forgot her characters name, it had funky letters, i think im blocked on the bnet, is there a way to look up a persons character by ther battle net Id???
honestly, this is why I hate alt-codes. It’s easier to be creative with a name (Cuokiesheat) than it is to remember cσσkiêshêêt
yea,
ughhh, not sure what to do but to be that weird person and be like in /2 Can someone who has the name ( submit name here ) but with funky letters out there please whisper me we need to talk! <3 i dunno i guess thats my last resort eh? if theres no other way? saad
well, if the character and you are both still in the same guild (or if you quit the guild and still know it by name), you can always look up it’s offline list for familiarity.

Hi, i did a /who of the guild she was in and we are talking things out on my alt, thanks for the help, sorry for not thinking about that idea sooner
It’s okay. The solutions I come up with are pretty obvious but sometimes hardest to think of.
Yay! I was hoping this would have a happy ending
