Classic doesn’t need “development.” It’s finished, and has been a huge success so far for everyone that didn’t somehow come in thinking they were going to get perfectly balanced PvP servers and battlegrounds. Nobody on PvE servers is complaining.

They did this on purpose, it’s clear as day. Implemented the worst patches into Classic from Vanilla, then stop working on it after they stated “We’ll always upkeep the game”
This is the way blizz treats their games nowadays

Unfortunately Blizzard didn’t launch this game with the no changes approach. They changed a lot, beginning with mega servers and layering. The nerfed ores, “fixed” wall jumping but threw together a TERRIBLE mock batching and leeway to emulate lag.
And so on.
The best thing they could do for Classic is to scrap it and hire some private server amateurs to put a more authentic one together.

Amateurs do things with passion, professionals do things with greed. Blizzard should have never involved reproduction on “authantic Vanilla”. They should have hired some amateurs with real passion for the game.
Everyone knew the moment Blizzard/Activision signed under this project, the arogancy, the greed take over our expectations and hopes. Shame on what Blizzard has become and they never learn from their mistakes. Greed and arogancy is the bigest enemy of gamers nowadays.

No. That’s just these forums. People around here are enraged when the sun rises and when it sets.
Then again we also have an abundance of avatars who like stirring the proverbial pot! Then multiple avatar system which is designed to allow this pot stirring is a good portion of the problem.
Lack of real moderation on these forums is also a huge contributing factor to these spam “enraged” posts.
Let’s look at where that greed and arrogance comes from. Mtx and the whales who will buy garbage tier cash grab gaming.
That’s where it comes from. Stop buying all of this garbage and watch how fast gaming improves.

Did you play during vanilla? They changed so much its maddening. AV changed, talent tree changed, gear stats changed, etc etc. What people want is all or nothing. If your going to change a few things then change the stuff that needs fixed as well or leave the game exactly as it was in vanilla.

Mark Kern is not on the Classic team. He originally worked on the game 15 years ago and was a major part of it. He was also a major part of petitioning Blizzard to make Classic a reality. But he’s not with Blizzard any more.

You have to give credit where it’s due. He was instrumental in getting the game across the line the first time, and was again instrumental in getting Classic here at all.
No-one says you have to like him. They are two separate things.
He comes back though and usually finds it on it’s side after being kicked by 57 people who couldn’t get it to work.

It never ceases to amaze me that people defend companies for failing to do their job.
