Does anyone find this warfront "fun"?

I dunno I spent less than 10 mins in it and I found it to be the most boring thing ever and I left.

All this "Warcraft 3" nonsense had me thinking maybe there was something to it. Hello Devs, this is NOTHING like WC3.
What exactly did you do during the warfront - in detail please.
It's incredibly boring, just like island expeditions.
Not really. 20 or so minutes of killing trash. I can see why people afk.
Yeah, kinda. *shrug*
Run to mine, collect ore that would've been collected anyway by one of the other 8 players. Run to lumber mill collect 100 wood, return to base to find wood not immediately needed. Spam heals randomly on players that don't really need my help. Jump from base to base trying to appear useful.

Return to base collect 30 more ore and turn in for some random upgrade. Try to stay awake. Wonder why nothing is happening. Open map to find 4-5 suspected AFKers. Go run around some more until the siege engines appear. Follow the Zerg, eventually win after an unnecessarily long siege.

What's not to love?
They are awesome compared to island expeditions.

Not something I would want to do more than once a week or so but they aren’t that bad.

I mean what do people want ?Everything they put in game people are like this is boring and no fun. i think a whole lot of people are playing the wrong game.
It's different enough to run occasionally for a change of pace from other things.

You can do different things to try and spice it up a bit.

Collect resources only. Zerg with the groups. Run around trying to solo stuff. Grab a friend or two and chase down Horde patrols/defend bases. Pick up specials like the Aura buff, followers, we had a wartrike brief option, mounted combat.
Yes...but then, I did it with my guild-mates, which makes most any endeavor a lot more fun. You get out of the game what you put into it.
I don't know if it's fun. I don't even know what I was supposed to be doing?

I collected wood and ore. I turned that in for upgrades and did some quests that were offered in the instance.

Then I ran around looking for everyone else and joined in the fighting wherever I found it.

It's rather confusing. This is why I don't play open world games. I need direction.
If it were like old AV where it could take days (since it's lasting days) and you got credit only for resources turned in, mobs damaged, players healed (maybe even NPC's) then it could be much more fun. Get small credit and RNG loot drop from elites like it is now, every day like a daily, maybe gold and resources or azerite and then the 370 can come at the end of the week, plus a chance for an extra piece of gear, maybe 340 up to 370, chances of an upgrade improving based on objectives and quests completed and credit for mobs defeated and resources turned in. It can easily be timed by making certain outposts unbreachable until x day/s have past, making it a slow progression.

Tl;dr Since it's going to be dragged out for a week or more may as well make it feel like a real siege.
I hope they didn't spend too much time making that content, if it weren't for the 370 gear, I would've chucked it in the poop pile along with pet battling.

Obviously by my profile you can see I need 370 gear as I just don't do content I don't find any fun in. Sadly that now includes Warfronts, weeks of expectations squandered.

And to the person that said I get out what I put in...nice phrase, it doesn't even remotely fit the context. What do I put in? Time? What do I get for wasting my time being bored? A piece of 370 gear? I would rather browse the internet or play another game, time better spent.
should have stayed at least one time for that 370 gear quest.

Friends had 370+ weapons drop for them

I got a 370 bracer that replaced a 355 bracer.

Would have enjoyed and celebrated a 370 weapon though.

But it is what it is.

I think I will like the ability to push my toons towards 340 gear fairly quick if they leave that in game.
I'm enjoying it. It's got a flavor of the old RTS game in it that's a nice throwback for me.

It's pretty low-key. And I'm a bit tired from work these days to focus intently on a raid or something of that nature. So it's the type of content I can just go and whack at things for a bit.

It's OK to say you're not having fun with it, but what tweaks do you think could be made to make it more interesting to you? One of the things I've mentioned recently is that I hope the difficulty ramps up on the ones in the pipeline.
its the first one. I think that here is room to improve the systems. the idea is there, just needs refinement.

unlike islands, which are an abortion.
It is pretty fun I think. It does need more options and would be great if opposite faction players could join in reduced number, but it is fun.
I enjoyed it, not sure how many times I will run it.
It is one of the few things I have found entertaining.

I have been playing it in small doses and it's fine. I'm not aiming to gear my characters there, just play thru the battles. I think it would be a bit more interesting if the other side were players. If that were the case it should be kept separate from the pve one there should be both pvp and pve. But then it might boil down to attacking where the enemy aint. Sooner or later they got to fight though.

Anyways it is something new and I hope Blizzard keeps playing around with the idea. It kinda feels like a war zone but not quite dangerous enough. Maybe if the other side were a little more aggressive? Maybe they are I just don't know.

edit: I've thought about the pvp thing and decided it probably would not be a good idea. It would turn into an AV where one side would generally ignore the other side and race to the end. Then I'd be left hoping, hoping people would fight each other. So making the AI more aggressive might help.
